Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

MaltaThe hotel looks a bit dated. Also info provided was not accurate, like all credit cards accepted and then the first sign you see at reception says that credit cards are not accepted. All rooms are no smoking and in the room you find an ashtray and a book that tells you you can smoke. Toilettries provide were only 10ml of hair and body wash, good thing we still had our own.
As you go out of the hotel there is a winding path that takes you down to the lake.wherevthete is also facilities for water sport

ItalyThe room and the building in general may need a bit of renovation and refurbishment.
Top spot to visit Muster Saint Marie and the surrounding areas saving some money. The hotel is in the center of the small village and next to some restaurants/bar, and 5 minutes from the beach where in the evening you can get pizza and cocktails from a small bar (where sometimes there is also live music). Good quality/price breakfast, the room is basic but ok and the staff is very welcoming. There is also plenty of parking space.

PolandBe aware that check-in is only possible between 3 PM and 8 PM – after that, it's not possible to check in.
Wonderful location with a view of a beautiful lake. The rooms are spacious enough for two people for a 2–3 night stay. A nice bonus was having a fridge in the room. The hotel overall feels a bit dated, but it doesn't significantly affect the comfort of the stay.

United KingdomStudi-Hotel Plein Voile is situated in a great location for both Lac de Sainte-Croix and Gorges du Verdon, which, as cyclists, was particularly important to us as there is a quieter, alternative route from Les Salles sur Verdon up the mountain. The room itself had a good view of the lake and although basic, was very clean and comfortable. The manager was also very cheerful and helpful.

ItalyGot no sleep because it's a very windy area and there are lot's of sight remanding you to secure the windows shutter, and sure enough at least 3 weren't and there was a lot of wind in the night and a slam fest ensured.
The location is amazing, a small village on a beautiful lake! The room was very large with a small kitchenet and fridge, and a little yard! Bed was very comfortable and very quiet neighborhood, perfect for sleep, but...

United KingdomThe rooms were quite dated compared to the photos. The wifi can be a hit-and-miss with multiple routers, so depends on your location in the building. We didn't use the cooking facilities, but FYI there are rules/additional costs if you want to use the cooking facilities in the room.
Great relaxing location, small local restaurants close by and an easy walk to the lake. The room also had a view of the lake. Staff was helpful.

FranceNothing in particular. There was some noise from the room nearby which is normal for a small hotel. The shower room was tight but nothing to complain about.
Everything. The reception was efficient. The room was tiny but functional and clean. The breakfast was simple but good. You can refill your coffee upon request. The owner is able to speak some Thai. He is helpful and cordial. I liked the small balcony of my room (no 19) on the ground floor. The AC in the room was working perfectly and noiselessly. From the hotel, one walks down the paved road to the beach easily (it takes some 10 minutes for slow walk). The hotel is next to a big open square. Parking is adequate.

AustraliaIt was quite tight inside. You had to sit sideways on the toilet to use it. The fittings etc were tired.
The location of this property is great. We had a lake view room with a balcony and it was lovely to sit there and look out over the water. It was very handy to restaurants cafes etc. The manager was friendly.
