The entry into the water from the hotel is a bit tricky. They do provide water shoes, but still one must be very careful on the rocks.

Having the view of the bay. The staff were excellent and helpful. Walking on to the sand beach (one of the few with sand in the Riviera). The hike to the West from the hotel along the coast is spectacularly beautiful and goes for quite a long way.

Eggs at breakfast 😋 but that's just me being picky

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed.. the location is incredible, you can hear the ocean from your room. There's literally nothing you miss during your stay. The sun terrace, the pool, the rooms, everything is incredible well maintained and well looked after. The staff is Wonderful and very caring. A true 5 star experience.

The uniqueness of the the hotel is expressed in every detail: from little special touches in the rooms (natural scents, bed linen, coffee/tea set), to luminosity of spaces, to splendid (!) view across the bay, to infrared sauna and swimming pool that you can book for private use - this hotel is like nothing I had experienced before (with many 5-star hotels in 50 countries across the globe on my account). The experience at Splendid cannot be conveyed through words - it needs to be lived!!! I will for sure return soon!

Beautiful terrace with stunning views. The direct access to the private beach was great. Everything is very considered and thoughtful. We loved that reef shoes were available to use, for when you go to the rocky beach. The free coffee and cakes was really lovely too!

An excellentv buffet continental breakfast, eaten on the small outside terrace above the water. A very convenient private car park made it easy to come and go. The hotel is in a quiet position right on the waterside of the bay and the village centre of Bandol was a short walk away.

The view from our bedroom window was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The Azure blue sea and the sound of waves lapping against the rocks below was such a treat. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, helping us to book the private swimming pool and suggesting places for dinner that evening. The hotel transports you back into the 1920s with its styling and we even bought a poster to take home and remind us of this gem of a hotel.

Let’s not worry if the internet is a little inconsistent, there’s the ocean just below your room providing a wonderfully relaxing soundscape.

This small, congenial hotel is exactly as its pictures indicate: wonderful views, pretty terraces, elegant art deco bar/restaurant, very comfortable, unusual rooms (I hate showers but mine was set in an imaginatively conceived cosy cave), excellent scrambled eggs for breakfast, free coffee available in the bar all day, and an easy walk to the nearest beach and the lively port. But it is the staff who make the place: charming, helpful, and efficient the whole team manages the perfect balance between doing a thoroughly professional job and making you feel like one of the family.

Restaurant and bar close early ( we understand the reason why). Handheld shower head can’t adjust its height. Still using small disposable toiletries. Outdoor Parking space, Loading/unloading area in front of the hotel is tight.

Intimate, private, boutique style hotel. Ocean view is fabulous. Room design is smart and trendy. Staffs are friendly and knowledgeable.

All met or exceeded expectations. There really wasn't anything we didn't like.

Everything about Hotel Splendid was absolutely wonderful. The room was spacious and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the lobby was excellent. The hotel is perfectly situated on the water with a lovely outdoors area for lounging and is within easy walking distance to the best restaurants, bars and shops in Bandol.
