Only downside was that the water from the shower can spill out. Otherwise excellent.

The location is perfect. It’s exactly as shown in the pictures and sits beneath the castle curtain wall. A 4 minute walk brings you to a castle gate. The garden is shared with the other gite but it is quiet and big. There is lots of local information available in the property and the guide book was excellent.

Not much. We like iced drinks and it was hard to keep enough ice in the little freezer section in the refrigerator. But that a trivial complaint.

The location is unbeatable. Just look at the photo of the view of the ramparts from the upper garden area. There is a nearby foot path up the hill that gets you to Porte Aude in 6 minutes and a charming little epicerie within a 10 minute walk The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful in getting reservations made. We enjoyed the beginning and end of each day on the terrace (croissants from the epicerie in the morning, and methode ancienne wine in the evening). I'd definitely book it again.

There is a bit of squeak from the floor/room above due to wooden floorboards.

Our very congenial host met us at the door at our prearranged time. The view, the apartment, the location were all just beautiful.

This is a very nice space and we would stay again but the upstairs floor when walked upon and shower are very noisy to the bedroom below. It is a minor inconvenience.

Beautiful accommodation and friendly hosts. Nice space, location, and a spectacular yard with panoramic views. Only a short walk to local sites.

Very comfortable accommodation, ideally situated for the medieval cite and the new town. As well as a private terrace the huge shared garden has stunning views. Lovely linen and towels. All 4 of us would definitely recommend.

Stairs need a hand rail as does the external staircase.

Lovely spacious apartment with excellent facilities. Very good showers and fittings. Clean and comfortable beds. Location by the castle was lovely and short walk to the castle and town centre. David very helpful with local facilities and parking.

Hard to tell, we had such a nice stay!

Spacious house with the most beautiful gardens just under the castle. It’s less than 10 minutes walking distance to the rear entrance of the castle which is more scenic and less crowded than the main gate. The surroundings are very peaceful and quiet, we felt very safe staying in the neighbourhood. The host was super kind too. Highly recommended for people who want to have tranquility and a quality experience.

The property was first class everything was perfect Checking was easy & quick. The cottage was amazing & the gardens were beautiful & we spent a few days chilling out in them.

Mosquitoes - it was hot and humid while we were in Carcassone and you couldn't avoid them so be prepared for this time of year and bring your spray!

The accommodation was exactly as described and in the pictures. Very spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. There are two large bedrooms with air conditioning, a spacious sitting and dining room with a selection of books/games, TV and sound system. There are 2 ensuite bathrooms with great showers, and one toilet off the main living room. Note, one of the ensuite bathrooms does not have a toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. The outdoor space is also large and the rear garden looks onto the castle walls/ramparts. The garden is a split-level garden over 3 levels with seating on each area which is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On a good day the garden is bathed in sunlight! There is an Épicerie just down the road which sells fine breads and cheeses etc., and the Chateau is right behind the property. We had excellent communication with our host (David) who was very helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable stay!
