Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe were staying for one night when cycling the velo francette. There was bike parking, clothes washing facilities and comfy beds. Our room had a fridge and some bowls/cups/cutlery which allowed us to have breakfast and make up a pack lunch for the road. Ideal spot in Angers right near a super u too!

Italybathroom without window and air freshner. There was no air conditioning and the room gets hot if you use the kitchen. The space is too small to eat comfortably for more than one day (one of the two people had a shelf almost on top of their head). The freezer was full of ice, so it was difficult to put our things in. It's a university area, so in August it was deserted, apart from a few homeless people in the nearby buildings. parking is tight, ask for a spot away from other cars so you can park more easily
very comfortable bed. fast wifi. dogs allowed (9€ per day per dog). private parking under the building (10€) access from the car park directly into the apartment building. ten minutes by walk from the city center (a lot of restaurants and shops, nice town). there was a fan in the room for free. Although it was hot during the day, at night a nice cool breeze came in through the only window. There is a supermarket in the same street, 2 minutes by walk! A handy kit for cleaning the kitchen without waste (a sponge, a replacement bag and a sachet of detergent). Two small bottles of water + two biscuits + two tea bags and sugar for a DIY breakfast: much appreciated.

United KingdomAccommodation is basic and the apartment is small but good value.
Great location as a base for exploring Angers. The apartment was basic but clean. Underground parking at an extra cost of €10 was secure and convenient. It's a nice quiet residential area. Staff are friendly and speak English.

France1% was not good- we use this hotel regularly but this time they had started putting man-made poly covers on all bedding. In July it meant we had a VERY uncomfortable night. In the morning our nightwear was wet through. PLEASE stop doing this or we can’t use your hotel again!

FranceThe TV was a little small to be viewed from the bed, but that was a minor point. The paintwork is looking a bit tired, but not ugly. This is feedback rather than a criticism!
Room was very clean and welcoming - so much so, we spent much more time in it than expected! The small kitchenette unit (hob, fridge, sink, microwave) was perfect, as we were able to be self-sufficient on the food front. There's a supermarket (Super-U) very close by. The centre of Angers was a short walk away, and we were able to find on-street parking (paid and, just around the corner, free),

IrelandThe reception is not 24/7. It is only 7am to 9pm. The breakfast starts at 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends. I had to leave early most of the days so I could not take it. It is organic so it's expensive. I had an issue but the lady at the reception was helpful and it is now resolved.
The apartment was very good. Kitchen, bed, bathroom, everything was fine. Perfect location to go to the Ice Rink. From the train station, you can take the bus or the tramway to go there. The lift.

United KingdomWe took our recyclables to the designated area but it was unclear which if any of the many bins were meant for recycling. This needs to be rectified!
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with good facilities, in a very quiet location. After a long day travelling we appreciated being able to prepare a simple supper in the room rather than having to find somewhere to eat. It was good to have somewhere secure to store our bijes overnight.

CanadaThe room was a bit small so just good to sleep or watch TV on the bed and not for a prolonged stay inside.
The room had the essentials to cook with a small fridge. We appreciated the inside parking and the location not too far from the historical ceter.

FranceBreakfasts were far too expensive at 15€. There were 2 HUGE spiders in our apartment. One in bathroom and the other over our BED!! Luckily hubby managed to catch them and we “re-homed “ them out of the window! Outside of building was still strewn with old fag ends..horrible!
We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. It was great!
