The only thing that we think can be improved is having a shower curtain installed instead of using towels to dry the floor because one side of the shower is open.

Hotel Sainte Marie is conveniently located near the St. Michel gate of the Lourdes sanctuary making it easy to go back and forth during the day. It is about 20 minutes from the train station in foot but a bus can be taken as an alternative.

The hotel was lovely, right next to the river and a short stroll to nice restaurants and all the facilities. The lady in charge was super helpful providing us with extra bread, ham and cheese to make sandwiches for our lunches. Breakfast was traditional French style. The room was very comfortable with good aircon and wi-fi. It was everything we hoped for.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the Sanctuary of Lourdes and all the main attractions in the city. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, assisting us with everything we needed during our visit. We truly hope to come back soon!

The mattresses could have been a little more comfortable.

The location was exceptional with us wanting to walk to the Shrine, stores and restaurants! It sets just outside of the congestion, so it is very peaceful. It even affords a beautiful view of the Pyrenees Mountains! We had one day of rain, and the hotel was very generous in sharing their umbrellas. I would definitely stay here again!

The warm and genuine welcome and hospitality from our host Christina, it was a home to home experience and second to none.. She couldn't do enough to make our stay so memorable. As we would say she was a "feeder", continental breakfast and we were always offered more if we wished to avail! The view from the breakfast room is stunning! So apologetic that her lift had broken down due to the extreme heatwave being experienced and offered via this platform visitors the option to cancel. To add there is air conditioning - it made the 93° temperature very tolerable. A family run hotel, quaint and the simplicity of its shabby chic style, I adored. Spotlessly clean- thank you to her lovely housekeeper Maria. Our room had a balcony, looking out on the river...what a view...waking to the sound of the roar of the river.....fabulous location, 5 min walk from shops/restaurants and basicilla! Just beware there are hills in Lourdes! Would I recommend this place - 1000%. Go raibh maith agat Christina for our French lessons and your wonderful,warm welcome! 🙏🇮🇪

We loved everything about our stay. Christina really made this a memorable two nights in Lourdes.

The host, Christina, was a superb host! She was welcoming, friendly, and willing to do anything to make our stay even better. The hotel was spotlessly clean, very French style, our room had a balcony on two sides. There were various outside terraces and multiple little lounges for the guests to enjoy. We had a view of the Basilica steeple from our room. The air conditioner was superb and worked extremely well, even during a severe heatwave. The location to the Lourdes Sanctuary was as close as you could get.

Where to begin? I'd already fallen in love with the pictures online, which did no justice to how beautiful this space is in person! Christine is the absolute PERFECT host, and I miss her homely and welcoming person. Our room had the most breathtaking view ever! I couldn't get enough of it, and would just sit on the balcony not daring to blink so I could absorb as much of it as I could. The room itself was sweet and small, and absolutely delightful! I loved the charm, decor, and simplicity. The bathroom was always kept clean - thank you Maria de Lourdes! - and the entire experience was truly peaceful. The breakfast was a relief. I was so glad I didn't have to go hopping around cafes trying to find a good breakfast every morning, which can be hit and miss. We had not booked breakfast, but Christine was able to accommodate us, thankfully. I will not soon forget that fresh, crunchy baguette, delicious butter, and the pitchers of hot chocolate I was plied with every morning! God bless you Christine! Another huge plus is the proximity to the basilica, which was very important for me. During the time of my visit (summer), the basilica is open from 6 am to 1 am, so I could come and go with ease from the hotel, at any given moment if I felt I needed to return to the grotto, and I could be there in 5 minutes. This brought a lot of calm to me as well. I can go on and on, but in summary, this is the only place I want to stay in in Lourdes. It is absolutely - perfect -.
