Dangerous steps from room to elevator. Need a railing. Stairs not always lit. Impossible to navigate if using a cane. Fortunately I did not need one this year but have on past Outlets next to bed do not charge iPhone.

On one occasion no clean towels were left in our room. On two occasions we were locked out of the hotel as there was no one in reception despite 24/7 indicated.

Perfect location. Historic building. Decor throughout was stylish yet reflected the history. Shuttle taxi from Gare du Nord on arrival.

The only negative thing was the elevator was not working. I know these things happen and I am capable of climbing 3 flights of stairs but those are narrow tricky stairs. But it didn't diminish our experience there. We loved it and would stay again.

A truly wonderful place to stay in Paris! This hotel is absolutely charming — with an unbeatable location and everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. The rooms are bright, spotless, and spacious enough, with everything thoughtfully arranged. The staff is exceptional: polite, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you might need — from directions to restaurant recommendations. It’s incredibly easy to reach all the major attractions on foot, as many are located just nearby. The neighborhood is full of lovely cafés, great places for lunch, and small shops where you can find souvenirs and charming little things to bring home. The hotel has an elevator, which is a big plus, and the overall atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and peaceful. Highly recommended — I’d definitely stay here again!

Our room was on the ground floor which was convenient, but we were not happy to return one day to find housekeeping had left the windows wide open to the street. There is a glass barrier to shoulder height to deter people from entering but it would have been possible for someone to get into the room. Luckily that didn't happen, especially because the safe wasn't large enough to fit a laptop. Also, the entire hotel somehow ran out of shower gel on our last night which we thought was a bit strange and wasn't ideal.

The location was incredibly convenient. It's directly across the street from one of the best crepe places in Paris and an easy walk to Notre Dame, other major attractions and various metro lines. The room was very comfortable. It looked exactly like the pictures and the staff were generally very helpful and obliging.

Room was very nice and clean. The bathroom was a good size for a Paris bathroom and the shower was excellent! The breakfast was good and had a good spread of foods - cold cuts, cheese, breads/croissants, eggs, bacon etc. nicely located in a quiet area.

The photos make the rooms look larger than they are. They are very small. Could hear street noise, trash truck on trash days, and some internal noise. We were on the first floor. Higher floors might be better. I don’t say this to discourage staying there, but to inform for someone who would have a concern over those things. Enjoyed stay..

WiFi disconnected frequently (both in the room and the breakfast room). There didn't seem to be a way to switch off the electronic picture frame, so I had to put a towel over it to block the light.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location is great: right in the heart of Paris on an island in the Seine! Loved the room decor and enjoyed the balcony. Buffet breakfast was excellent and served in a stunning breakfast room.

The only downside -- and it's not the hotel's fault -- is that the air conditioning broke in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave. Thank goodness we were only on the first floor, as I can't imagine how hot it would've been on the top level. The hotel gave us a fan, and we left the windows open until the street noise woke us up, but it was still a pretty uncomfortable night. The receptionist said this had never happened before, so I would still stay at this hotel again. Just maybe not in the middle of a heat wave...

This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The room was pretty and a decent size for Paris, and the bathroom was well-appointed with a fantastic shower. I love staying on the Ile St. Louis, as it's centrally located with easy access to public transportation but feels like a calm, private oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of central Paris. The street that the hotel is located on has everything you need: great restaurants, coffee and ice cream places, and fun shops.

I rated the room size as great even though it’s a smaller European room, because it was plenty for us, cozy and adorable! We don’t need a lot of space. Reception was wonderful! So nice and helpful. Location is phenomenal. Will definitely stay again if we can!

We loved staying here, so quiet at night but very close to Notre Dame (and Berthillon!). The rooms are small but immaculate. The bathroom is generous and well-appointed, with a deep tub. There's even a thoughtfully stocked minibar. The host is gracious and helpful.

Only concern is that the temperature was too warm for me 16C. I know it’s cool but at times it felt a bit uncomfortably warm. But I managed and was still happy I booked this hotel. Maybe for summer it can arranged to have the rooms cooler.

The location is amazing. That definitely is the case for me too come back again and stay in this hotel.
