Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Overwhelming feeling of darkness. Vagrant on the stairs, don't know he managed to get in. Carpet removed from stairs on upper floors Strange smell, like cigarette smoke but it's a non smoking establishment. Buffet breakfast quite sparse. Some of the crispbreads had a stale taste.
Parking underneath hotel. Manager provided bread and croissants. We thought we had booked breakfast however we hadn't. Large ensuite. Clean room Wasn't overly expensive but perhaps that explains what we didn't like.

Parking not included. However we were lucky to find close-by free street parking.
Reasonably close to tourist attractions (15 walk). Clean. Comfortable bed. Helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel entrance was difficult to find. There was no space to stop with a car and locate the entrance. The entrance is a door on the ground floor of a building with other businesses. Once you enter the door, the reception is on the first floor. Covered parking is available for hotel guests 30 meters away from the hotel. The room had a view of a nearby building. In general all the furnitures of the hotel need a renovation.
Basic hotel close to the city center (5 minutes by walk), room was big, also the bathroom. Everything clean. Staff very gentle.

Reception was not very well lit. When we first arrived, we thought it a little shabby but quickly realised it was simply it's position (above a garage) and the small dimly-lit reception area. Once past that, it was ideal for us.
Size of room, very clean, very comfortable bed (10/10), close to town centre, good breakfast, helpful staff, reasonably -priced parking (if a little tight!). After the initial first impression, we found that the hotel has an understated elegance about it, in the nicely-decorated rooms and the well-set up breakfast room.

Refurbishment hasn't finished, carpets were missing on the stairs. No tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

Well located hotel with parking below, friendly staff and nice clean room. No air conditioning, but fan was there which was more than enough. Pet friendly hotel, those are not always easy to find. Breakfast was very nice. I had a late check in but they waited till I was there, guided me to the parking garage and a very quick check in. What I liked is the location; really 5 minutes walk, almost straight through and you were in the heart of the city. We could leave our car the next day in case we would like to visit the city; very much appreciated!

Excellent secure car parking (you need to go and sleek to reception before you can park your car in secure underground car park) very comfortable bed, functional, clean and quiet!

Quite simple rooms but overall clean.
Located in a good position a few steps far from downtown. Private garage (2 m tall vehicles limit) and a very friendly owner.

The carpark has a height limit because it is underground.
The hotel was easy to find and very close to the centre of Orleans. The owner was extremely helpful especially with parking. We had to find alternative parking as our car was too high for the underground carpark and he went out of his way to help us.
