How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The toilet bathroom (which is separate from the main shower bathroom) had no window and no ventilation. This was really unpleasant.
Location wax great! Bed and sofa are very comfortable! Filtered tap water is a plus! Clean and modern apartment.

It's a good value hotel for the money. It was great for families. The farm market we saw on the street on Tuesday morning was really fresh with great fruit and street food.

No early check in. Staff were not even able to help because of no internet, this did make things tough after a long day. Also Paris was having a heatwave and there was no air conditioner in the rooms

Sometimes you don't have enough cutlery to run the wash cycle but you need to wash one or two items (typically baby bottle 🍼). It was challenging to find where to put it to dry. The fridge was turned off and we were not informed, took us two days to notice. Might have helped to inform The canapé-lit is just ok for kids

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The apartment is fully equipped. The location is also good and safe, it's easy to get to the Paris city center by train or metro, and to Disneyland as well. A lot of cozy restaurants and supermarkets in the area.

The internet was not consistent and kept kicking us off.
The property is newly renovated and located in the charming town of Vincennes. The studio apartment was comfortable and had a nice balcony. Very clean as well. Great desk staff.who were very helpful. Excellent access to Paris by metro and Uber.

The hall and elevator smelled like fish, understandingly though, there were small kitchens so neighbors may have been cooking. I don't know but it was tolerable just not expected. Another issue, one shower smelled bad but it was corrected. All else was superb.

Wi-fi was almost nonexistent in our room. Boosting the signal throughout the entire property would elevate my score from 9 to 10. If i were traveling for business it would not be practical to take meetings near the lobby, where the connection is strongest. But for this particular vacation stay it wasn't as big an issue.
We've stayed at Royal Regency several times and have always found it clean, safe, and quiet. So we felt lucky to be able to retreat here after another "boutique" hotel failed to meet expectations. The rooms are quite large by Paris standards and are spotless. The front desk is staffed 24/7 by a very kind, welcoming, professional team. It's nice to have laundry facilities on-site too, at a comparable cost to the laundromat a couple of blocks down the street. Location is great; a 10- to 15-minute walk to the métro puts you on Line 1, which serves many tourist "must-see" sites.

The kitchen in our two-bedroom unit was tiny. Fine for two people but might be difficult for a bigger family that enjoys cooking together. (Note that some two-bedroom units have a different layout with open kitchens.)
Room and property were absolutely immaculate and staff were all exceptionally helpful and kind. This is an extremely well-run operation. The location is also good. About a 10- to 15-minute walk to métro, but the tradeoff is that it's very quiet. Everything we needed was nearby, including an excellent grocery store a half-block away. Bedding was super-comfortable and toiletries provided were top-quality. Also loved having a closet in both bedrooms and additional storage in the hallway. Very functional room design as bedrooms, kitchen, and living room can all be closed off with sturdy doors. Amount of space is great by Paris standards!

15 to 20 minute walk to the metro or station, although we didn’t mind this.
The apartment was really spacious, clean and perfect for our family of 4. The sofa bed was quite large and comfortable compared to others we have experienced.
