The shower was unsuitable for anyone with physical disabilities or older clientele. But that does not detract from the hotel and my stay was perfect but do check if they are able to accommodate your needs.

It is an amazing hotel overlooking the Chateau with excellent cycling along the Canal.The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there is good parking nearby. The rooms are okay— bit outdated but it is rural France. The food in the restaurant was excellent— typical Logis hotel !

As others have already commented, the room, and particularly the bathroom, needs "refreshing". If we hadn't had the view, I would have felt less forgiving...

Very friendly staff, particularly at reception. We had a wonderful view of the castle opposite, which is why we chose this hotel. We ate very well at the restaurant in the evening (the service was a little slow to start with but got better!)

The central position, free parking, the location meant our bedroom had an amazing view over the Chateau, staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious. Generous and varied breakfast.

It's an old building. The phrase ' faded grandeur ' comes to mind. Although we were very pleased with the size and comfort of our room it could do with refreshing, such as with some of the fittings. The bed was comfortable - but the mattress squeaked quite loudly on the left side when I moved ! The tea and coffee facilities were poor though. One sachet of powdered milk and one small stick for stirring drinks between two of us ! Yes, we could have asked for more supplies, but these should have been replenished before our arrival. These points weren't enough to spoil our stay, however.

Fantastic hotel right by the river and with seconds of the beautiful little town. Super friendly staff at reception showed us where to safely store our bicycles. Highly recommended!

The hotel bar shut shortly after dinner was finished at 9pm, meaning we had to go to the only bar open on a Thursday night for a nightcap. Staff were quite blunt about that. Staff also seemed disinterested when we asked whether dinner was being served and asking for recommendations for wine.

The location opposite the Chateau was lovely. Room and bed were comfy. Dinner and breakfast were really good.

The bathroom access to shower was a big step into a narrow gap, so not ideal for mobility. Also, restaurant had a big 100 group in the night we stayed so we could not eat there. Car park full.

Although the room was comfortable the shower was very tight to get into with a wall and quite a big step up into it, not ideal for older people

The location of the hotel was good with a short (but quite steep) walk into the lovely town. The bedroom view across the river to the chateau was scenic. The room was comfortable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It was lovely sitting on the terrace facing the chateau for the evening meal. The breakfast was good with a choice of cooked or continental breakfast with healthy options.

Everything was great but would go for a larger room next time we stay.

Staff were very accommodating and very smiley. Location was great. Easy car parking and safe cycle storage. Breakfasts were very enjoyable.
