It was sensational! One of the best evenings that we have ever had. Parked our car at the station (very easy) and took the train up. We were greeted warmly and given a room immediately. Warm, cosy room. All in wood. Great toilet. Had a cappuccino, shower and then went down for the evening. Lovely views. An array of drinks. Including cocktails and single malts. An excellent 3 course dinner with choices... We lingered for 2 to 3 hours. Comfortable nights. Great linen. After a restful sleep had an amazing breakfast... Short walk too What an experience!

For the price I was expecting something better. For example, the body wash bottle in the shower was completely empty and there was no hair drier.

Only one thing is for improve experience from this hotel: very important information about location, that you can get to hotel only by train before 4 pm. Also, I hope, in future hotel will have some preferences for free parking in Chamonix and free train tickets for clients, or discount :)

The best place for chill spending time at French Alpes. Very nice restaurant and team of the hotel. We really enjoyed snowshoeing routes!

We received an email from the hotel saying “Pour retirer vos billets de train, veuillez présenter le voucher ci-joint sur votre téléphone aux caisses de la gare du Montenvers.” but when we got to the train station we were told that they didnt have them and we should have paid for them separately. We called the hotel and they said that it’s a message that it’s sent to everyone but it didnt apply to us. We were clearly upset about the miscommunication but when we got to the hotel they didnt even acknowledge the issue nor apologize for the unconvinience. Considering that you have to pay 60 euros for 2 people for the train plus 30 euro for parking for 24h i suggest trying to negotiate some discounts for your guests. In addition, i strongly recommend modifying the communications you send out so that they are tailored to each reservations and avoid confusing information.

The dinner was pricey, but the food and service were good. It's not easy to run a full restaurant on a mountain, so I expected the prices to be a bit elevated. The breakfast was a little limiting, and certain items ran out during the first 30 minutes.

Amazing place to stay - a must in Chamonix! You cannot beat this location or views. We loved being able to stay and enjoy the scenery after the crowds went home. The room was lovely and comfortable - large, warm, excellent shower. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back next time we're in Cham.

This is an amazing old mountaineering / trekking hotel in on top of a ridge outside of Chamonix. It’s like stepping back in time! Charming staff. Delicious food and great bathrooms. Beds small but cosy! Highly rate it for active people.

Chloe, the reception mgr, was wonderful! The surroundings were INCREDIBLE!! Only stayed one night - wish we’d stayed longer. Montenvers was buzzing during the day with tourists and families, but it quiets down at dinner, and only hotel guests are there for that meal Loved the 1st floor deck for lounging, soaking in sun and views.

I had wanted to stay at this hotel high on Mt Blanc for many years. It was worth the wait. The location is as extraordinary as you could ever find anywhere.

Fantastic location, just a very unique hotel, definitely worth a night or two if you are in Chamonix. Once the last train leaves, it just you and the other guests. Great food and exceptional staff!!!
