Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCordes is extremely quiet in the evening (we visited in August). Little choice of bars and restaurants. Parking can be difficult to find. It's a steep climb to the top if you don't drive.
Fantastic view across the valley. Large, comfortable room Warm welcome

FranceDriving to the hotel is difficult due to the steep and very narrow cobblestone streets. We parked halfway up the hill and walked the remainder of the way.
The location was perfect for exploring this beautiful town. The check in and check out was super. The host was very helpful, providing us with a map of the village and suggesting local attractions and restaurant location. We had an impromptu breakfast, and the host was very accommodating. The room was very spacious with beautiful views over the valley.

United StatesNOTE: The approach to the front of the hotel, where we dropped off our luggage, takes a bit of courage but is doable. The route is narrow, cobblestone, up hill, and mostly pedestrian (all of whom seemed nonchalant about our car moving through them while they shopped and sipped coffee along our path). We thank the hotel owner, who greeted us, for the advice, map, and a "free parking" placard so we could use the public parking spaces a bit lower down in the village. The walk back up the hill to the hotel is steep in places but I'm 80 years old and made it, slowly. I was also the driver of our vehicle; if an 80 year old can do it, you can too. The beautiful half-timber architecture of the village made the walk much easier - so lovely.
The view from the large bedroom window was vast and gorgeous. It is worth a lot to wake up to such beautiful countryside. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a night.

United KingdomVery well situated in this very hilltop village. I would not recomend driving a big car around the tiny cobbled streets. Parking is public about 500 metres down a steep gradien.

United KingdomThe rooms were a little dirty, and we thought there might be a bar on site but there didnt seem to be anything apart from breakfast, which was fine as you are right next to the restaurants in town. Wifi didnt reach upstairs, so if you need to work you wlil need a downstairs room. Note you need to walk up and down the hill - very steep!
The best thing about this hotel is the view - it stunning. The hotel is very rustic, really sweet, pretty basic. But perfect if you want an extremely relaxed trip right in the centre of beautiful Cordes. The breakfast croissants were so delicious. Would not hesitate to go back for an extremely piteresque stay.

AustraliaThe hotel was central and very quiet. We had a sitting room, bedroom with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. We took advantage of the convenient breakfast. The manager was friendly and helpful and provided us with a parking certificate which gave us free parking which was great. Just walk out the door, restaurants, shops, and fabulous views are right there.

SpainThe shower was small, although this is understandable due to the size of the rooms. I much prefer a bigger room than a bigger shower.
The views are amazing, wonderful; opening the windows for the first time and seeing the landscape was an astonishing experience. The Hotel itself is very rustic and seems like it came out of a film. Even the furniture adds to that. I felt like living in the medieval era. The beds were very comfortable. And there were plenty of plugs available near them.

New Zealandwifi not available in our room, we had to go outside into the corridor. The bed was harder than I prefer, and only one small pillow per person. I had to ask for another. No kettle, cups or glasses provided.
The view from our window overlooking the countryside was beautiful.

Very centrally situated in a 'plus beau village'. Very spacious rooms with fantastic views (as in photo). Amazing shower in one of the rooms with massage jets - perfect for a sore back. Proprietor was extremely helpful - offered to make dinner when we told him no restaurants were open. (And dinner was very good)

GreeceWiFi was really poor at the room and at some other corners of the hotel; we suggest increasing the range via a wifi amplifier/extender
The view from the windows of the room was magnificent; the landscape was really as a fairy tale.. Next morning the room was tidy and clean. One more thing is that the bathroom is spacy enough.

Hong KongBreakfast was served by the owner of the hotel. It was simple and delicious. Our room was a generous size with beautiful views of the countryside. We were glad we asked for an outward-facing room, as the weather was very hot and we could enjoy a gentle breeze through the windows.
