Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI have never ever seen smaller rooms than ones in the hotel. If you are traveling with 2 suitcases - you will already have a problem with space inside the room. Actually the room is suitable for entering it, laying down the bed and sleeping until the morning. Even ship ferry cabin was far bigger than the room in the hotel. Air conditioning doesn't work. Not that it's completely out - you can turn it on and even set desired temperature to +5 degrees. But the only thing you get is a noise and a little bit of smell. Cool fresh air never comes out of it. The hotel proposes 3 types of rooms. But in fact all of them are exactly the same. If you book the room with terrace - be sure there will be no terrace. Actually neither apartment has anything similar to terrace. The only somehing, which can be called "terrace", is a public place under the stairs with 5 or 6 tables and chairs. It is small, no privacy. And the worst thing is - it is not split to the smoking and non-smoking areas. So if you don't smoke and hate smoking smell - this "terrace" is not for you: other guests will smoke there like a locomotive from 19th century directly to your face. If you add special request during the booking process like "we need a room at ground floor because of reduced mobility of one of the guest" - this will be ignored and forgotten. Nobody at the reception has remembered this special request.
If sleeping overnight in a very small room with non-functional air-conditioning is fine for you - this hotel provides what you need. Every room has 3 beds, which are clean and in principle comfortable enough to sllep overnight. Private WC and shower in every room. And private parking has enough parking places for guest cars.

ItalyEverything is terrifying, starting from the architecture of the hotel (It looks like a squat).. The linen were dirty and stained and the shower were been used not so much time earlier before we entered the room.
At least I got a refund for the reservation, the receptionist was very sweet and kind.

United KingdomProbably the worst hotel room I've ever been to. From the budget hotels I've visited this is the worst one by far. To say it's small is an understatement. The bathroom is not much bigger than a bathroom on a plane. In the room you can barely move and you cannot pass each other freely. The smell was not pleasant and you can hear the noise from next door using shower and flushing toilets. Very loud indeed. The street at night is also very noisy. Do not recommend, and it was not the cheapest out of the budget hotels.
Late check in. Location close to Toulon.

FranceThe bedroom smelled a lot of cigarette, the only window had the outside vent blocked. This did not allow the air to circulate. Although I was offered to change my room, it was only possible the next day. But the next day I couldn't change, because I had to leave early and I didn't have time. The second day in the afternoon, I asked the person at the reception if she had a fork to lend me and she refused, when I know that there is cutlery at breakfast. You can hear everything that happens in the rooms next door.
The first person at the reception was very friendly and gave me directions to the supermarket.

United KingdomMy room had been smoked many times, and a cigarette butt was trapped in the door jam. The duvet cover was soiled and used. The breakfast was very poor quality and variety. Offering hard baguette that did not seem fresh. There were no fresh croissants or other pastries apart from slices of brioche Only one variety of cereal, cornflakes. The coffee was also of poor quality.
