Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bathroom was too small, smaller than on cross channel ferry. Nowhere to put anything. Difficult to sit on toilet. Large step up from bedroom so had to back out of door, which hit bed before fully open. Would pay more for better bathroom.
Great location very close to motorway. Clean room. Helpful staff Great price. Good restaurant within 100metres.

United KingdomSo I'm not going to put the place down because it served a purpose and was extremely good value .. what I'd say is for a family it's probably a little bit too budget for us .. we booked a room which was two adults and two children and requested a cot which was an option for our younger child so there were 4 of us .. when we arrived no one was on reception but you could check in from 2pm via a machine that was all fine but the room was VERY small indeed .. and no cot was in the room so we all ended up sharing a bed and my son had to sleep on the bunk which is above the double bed but was worried he would fall as he's only 5 - it said that the bunk was for ages 6 and up but we took that risk ourselves as simply had no choice .. as we arrived around 4 the kids were hungry and the only option for food was candy in a vending machine and a pizza place next door which didn't open until 18.30 but noticed there was a Mall down the road which loads of choice but you CANNOT get to it without a car because you had a freeway in the way with no access over or under it so we were stuck there and managed to order a takeaway in the end which cost a fortune in delivery.. my advice is great for a cheap bed for the night but not with the kids and if you have a car then you'll be OK but we used it as an overnight stay before a flight and had to taxi there which cost more than we'd of liked .. 2 adults with a car as a quick overnight stop off then perfect .. otherwise it might be better to look elsewhere
Loved the price when travelling on a budget

SpainThey booked our hotel without warning and informed us upon arrival, as we found it closed, which is not good. The new hotel was opposite ours and they kept the price, although we ended up paying €20 more in dog supplements, etc. They took 79 euros of deposit from my account without warning... I didn't put it anywhere and they returned it to me 24 hours after leaving the hotel. On top of that, the breakfast was more expensive than the one I had at the hotel I chose... the bathroom was very small and the bed was not comfortable. It was a low one and the blinds were broken... among other things... I will not repeat the experience in this hotel more than anything because you have to be honest with what you book.
It's in a good location if you're traveling. It has the services you need, free parking, and a good restaurant around the corner.

United KingdomNo staff for most of the day, check-in is done by machine. Building site just outside so very noisy daytime. The WiFi was awful, it kept losing connection so only suitable for emails, definitely not for watching YouTube The hotel feels made of cardboard/portacabind, so walls feel flimsy. The toilet/shower was the size of a wardrobe with no space to move inside.
Best thing was the price, only passing and needing bed for the night. Secure gated car park, free parking Breakfast was OK, with fresh bread, spreads, yogurts etc. Plenty of towels and comfy bed

United KingdomI booked a room at this hotel twice. Unfortunatly I became unwell before the date of my arrival at the hotel. I sent an email to the hotel asling them to cancel my last booking the day before I was supposed to travel. I had bood a free cancellation room that allowed me to cancel before 6pm on the day of my arrival. At my surprise the hotel refused to cancel my booking and this based that I had already cancelled another time and because the room rate beeing under Euros 40.00, they did not accepted my demand of cancellaltion. I had a medical certificate issued by my doctor in Switzerland where it is written that I was not allowed to travel for 2 weeks . Doesn't matter if the room rate is cheap or not, if the customer books a room using a cancellation free before 6pm on the day of arrival, the hotel should accept the cancellation.

BelgiumThis hotel needs an update urgently. It doesn’t qualify even as the budget option it wants to be. The room was tiny. The bathroom was smelly and more than compact: think motorhome bathroom in the 90s. The AC was a joke. Didn’t give any cool air at all. When I asked reception about this they told me the AC was struggling because it was a hot day. I’d like AC on a hot day, no need on a cool day.
