    Nice location

It wasn’t replay clean and therefore the smell in the bathroom wasn’t good. The breakfast for the price is also quite small

The room was small, but comfortable for what it was and the money paid. Friendly, helpful staff. So close to the main train station. Healthy walk into Town, which we didn't mind. Great shower and shelving in bathroom.

    Close to the train station.

Cleanliness, bad lobby design smelling like toilets, BFM TV all day, old dirty corridors, shower doors mouldy and rusty, dirty room floor...

Position near the main train station and therefore suitable for travellers. The reception staff is very kind and professional. Check in and check out very fast.

    No soap in the shower.

The room was clean and it was everything that we need to rest and recover.

The shower worked differently (like a splash) but it was good

Fantastic value stay and comfortable room and bed

Some staff very friendly, others were a bit rude and made you wait ages at reception - which was stressful when needing to catch transport!

Staff were friendly and nice. Proximity to transport was very nice.

Breakfast could have been better. The shower stall was mouldy and shower head was spraying all over the place.

The bathroom and the shower were more than okay.

The room was a bit small. It is not that neat to the city centre.

Lyon is divided into two distinct zones. The main railway station is a couple of miles from the old town, but the metro is quick and easy to use. This hotel is a few minutes walk from Part Dieu station, and so is very convenient for getting in and out of Lyon, but it is some distance from the old town. However, it is around an 8 minute walk to Garibaldi Metro station, which provides a direct line to the cathedral stop, and despite being on a main road, it is probably quieter than being in the centre. Check-in was easy, and there is a decent enough breakfast at the restaurant next door from 6.30am - 10am, offering coffee, juice, cereal, pastries, boiled eggs, meat and cheese. The room was a bit tight, but adequate, while the bathroom and shower was a decent size with a good functioning shower. There was air conditioning of a sort, which kind of worked. The main problem I had was the bed sagged and was a bit uncomfortable, but that may just have been my room. Overall, this is a decent hotel at a good price, close to the station. It's ideal if you want to be by the station rather than in the old town, and are only using the room as a base. It was good value for money.

The air conditioning wasn't great although it did function (it was unusually hot when I stayed there), and the bed was a bit uncomfortable. I think a couple of springs had worn out, so it sagged in the middle. However, I would probably stay here again if I didn't want to stay in the Old Town.
