United KingdomShower door was water damaged and wouldn't close. Powerful shower therefore accidentally blasted into the bedroom. Missing emblems on tap knobs made the shower controls guesswork (it doesn't have to be on mega blast). Tiny room. 3 people getting past each other and around the bed (about 40cm clearance) is stressful. It'd be fine for 1. If you arrive after 9pm the gate is closed. The machine outside was broken but there was a receptionist who helped us get in at 9.30pm. The layout of the building isn't ideal. With outside stairs and shared balcony to room doors, this makes a noisy social area directly outside the small windows, so there's no view if you want privacy, and none at all for the rooms opposite the stairs, so the rooms are a bit claustrophobic.
Beds were comfy, 3rd bunk bed was made up (unlike Ibis!), Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was cheap but very basic. Convenient for our route down France. Staff were warm and friendly and helpful.
