Very convenient location, pool was great addition (especially during the heatwave with a young child!) and house had everything we could have asked for. Highly recommend for groups when visiting Carcassonne. Thank you Stephanie for an excellent stay and being so helpful throughout!!

Stephanie was a fabulous host who went out of her way to assist with any help we needed both before and during our stay. L’Occitaine is an absolutely gorgeous recently modernised character property in the best location in Carcassonne. It is fully equipped like a proper home and was clean spacious and very comfortable. The old walls and shady garden kept us cool in v high temperatures and the small pool was perfect for afternoon relaxing. Highly recommended!

Beautiful & comfortable property. We had a fabulous family holiday in this wonderful location. It's an ideal location, between the old & new city, easy walking distance to both. With cafes, bars, and restaurants on the doorstep. Views from the balcony, second to non. We had everything we needed and more, I would recommend staying. We were well looked after by Stephanie, our host. We would definitely stay at this property again.

The location was great. In the old part of Carcassonne very near the castle with views of the castle from the balcony in the third floor bedroom.

We couldn't fault it.

We had an exceptionally good stay at Stephanie's house. Check-in was very straightforward, parking was easy, Stephanie went over and above with pre-check-in and local information, offered to meet us (we arrived late so self-check-in was fine), was super-responsive, very helpful and let us have late check-out. The house is very well designed, immaculately clean and she has thought of everything - the kitchen is well-stocked and the bedrooms very well designed. The sofa is comfy as are the beds, and the rooms are all a really good size which was good with a group. Our room had a sun-trap balcony with a wonderful view of the castle. The linens and towels are all great quality. Location-wise, it couldn't be better - Rue Trivalle is very picturesque, and you come out of your door and there are a dozen great restaurants to choose from. The walk to the castle is only a few minutes. Because the walls are so thick, there was no noise and we all slept really well. We all loved the house and have booked again for next year.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like, it was all good . Some people may not like the fact that the toilets are outside the bedroom, there are 2, one on each floor between the bedrooms, but this didn't cause any issues & there were 7 of us.

Lovely 4 bedroom house in heart of the old town Carcassonne, very near the castle walls. Some great bars/restaurants on the same street & also a shop to get any provisions you may need. All the amenities you could need in the house with the added bonus of a small pool at the back. Lovely views of the castle from the balcony, comfy beds & all rooms have shower/bathroom. Host Stephanie was very friendly, helpful & answered any questions we might have. There was lots of helpful literature, maps about carcassonne & surrounding area. Also helpful list of restaurants, numbers we might need & information about the house. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

We had a great couple of nights at L'Occitane! We had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. The house is situated on a lovely part of Rue Trivalle with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants on the door-step. It's just a few minutes walk up to the Medieval Citadel and 10 minutes to the town. Stephanie was a great host. We hope to return!

A little noise opposite as people left restaurants/bars. You can't hear this in back bedrooms only front ones and all quiet by 11ish

Beds are a firm. The sofa perhaps a bit uncomfortable for us, but then we spent lots of time outside!

The location is perfect. The house is exactly as advertised and situated on a lovely street with lots of places to eat and drink. Stephanie was really helpful in booking taxis to and from the airport and had good communication with us before arrival and during our stay.

It was a beautiful house, extremely comfortable and well equipped. It was within walking distance to the Cité and the castle and to the centre of town and surrounded by nice cafes and bistros. Communication was great and we felt very welcomed.

Gorgeous modern townhouse, spacious and tastefully decorated. Cute little dipping pool in the courtyard. Spotless and everything you could ever need. Fabulous location just outside la cite. Shops bars and restaurants nearby with a lovely vibe. Warm personable and helpful host. Brilliant time had by all.

Having asked the 7 adults in my party nobody could identify what they did not like.

A beautifully decorated house on a traditional French street. The facilities are excellent including large soft beds and the softest towels. Great to have a silent fan in the rooms at night. All the little extras were appreciated, coffee pods and tea bags. Fantastic location near Citi, central town and canal.

There was not really anything to not like! If I was being really picky I would say the beds were hard, but better than being soft in my view!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely property. It has everything that you would want for a short stay. The bonus of the pool is amazing. Location is ideal, an uphill walk of max 20 minutes to the city. Stephanie was so helpful and check in and out was the most simple we have ever experienced.

Pros - Short walk to citadel - Located on a vibrant and authentic street - Cafe, tapes bars, restaurants located next door - 4 spacious double rooms - Entire first floor a well furnished living and kitchen area - Small pool located in sun trap behind - Great communication from owner of the property. Easy checkin and check-out.

We liked it all!

Beautiful villa, extremely well-located, with the old cite literally at the far end of the street. Villa itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable and was well equipped. The small pool and pool area were divine to return to at the end of a day’s sightseeing, and the upstairs terrace with amazing views of the ramparts of the old cite was the perfect location for a pre and post dinner drinks. Rue Trivalle itself provided a number of very nice eating options and yet the street itself was very quiet overnight.
