I wouldn’t say it’s a downside exactly as it is mentioned in the hotel website, but there is no restaurant in this hotel, only a continental breakfast is served in the mornings. That’s not to say it wasn’t good, we did have the breakfast on our last morning and it was lovely. The benefit to there being no restaurant is that there are plenty within the city to try, which is what we done. There wasn’t really a night we didn’t have to worry about food.

The hotel was so amazing, we will absolutely be back again! The bed was the most comfiest bed we’ve ever slept on, honestly I’d come back again just for the mattress! The room was stunning as well, a small private patio and outdoor furniture and the room itself was soundproof. There was even some little lemon muffins left for us on arrival. After checking in we were shown our room and where the pool was located ( unfortunately we never got to use it due to the weather!). We loved that it was only a two minute walk to the medieval city so it was perfect for being able to travel in and out throughout the day. The staff as well were just amazing, honestly they were so kind and accommodating and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back again!

Limited breakfast. Not much Gluten Free options. Not enough coffee. Needed shade or umbrella on patio.

Location perfect for old city, and garden gave great view of Bastille day fireworks. Swimming pool, and on site parking also great. Staff very helpful. Excellent large room (junior suite).

I really liked everything about it. Might have been nice to have a few more offerings at the breakfast, but it did have incredible fresh squeezed orange juice!!

Beautiful unique property literally right next to the entrance to the medieval city. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Showed us everything about the hotel when we arrived. We were a large group so we had five of the 12 rooms and they were all completely unique and all beautiful.

Breakfast was ok but a bit limited

Great location for us. Loved the pool and outdoor area. Staff were excellent, especially a young lady (Clementine?) who had just started with you.

I had expected better in room products no hair conditioner body lotion and multipurpose shower gel only. Annoying as we had travelled with hand luggage only. The staff whilst lovely were unfamiliar with local information ie cost of taxis etc

The pool a view from grounds were excellent especially as very few people. Were around during the day

Stayed in a accessible room. Poished floor with a mat, not the best for stability. Lovely idea having a wet room unless you need to use the facilities after someone else has used the shower, slippy on crutches . Just being picky but couldn't reach the soap from the sink as it was shared with the shower and had to try to shuffle around on crutches with wet hands.

Very close to the gates of the old town. Good parking. Nice outside space although I only saw it as we were leaving.

Wet room-everything gets everything wet. Rain shower not to everyone’s taste. Booked room with garden view and terrace but was given room without these. Receptionist claimed booking.com was nothing to do with them.

Our stay at Hotel Pont Levis - Franck Putelat was excellent! The location, right next to the gates of the medieval city of Carcassonne, is incredibly convenient, especially in December when the city is beautifully decorated for the holidays. The hotel’s design is modern and elegant, and the rooms are clean and well-equipped. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived.

Rooms a little small for the price and need directions to find it! Google didn’t recognise address. Would be helpful to say it’s next to the main car park and you go into said car park to access hotel parking.

The decor felt impersonal. The shower and sink area opens up partially to the bedroom. Breakfast was good but not a lot of choice for the price.

A lovely hotel situated within walking distance of the old town. Secure parking on site and friendly and helpful staff. The room was excellent and comfortable and provided all we needed. I am not sure the fixtures and fittings will stand the test of time but we have no complaints.

Unfortunately, there was no WiFi for the duration of our stay, which also meant no TV, and if the weather had turned bad, we would have been stuck without entertainment. Additionally, there were no food options available during the day. On our last day, we really didn’t want to go out again and would have loved to enjoy a meal at the hotel while relaxing in front of the TV.

This is our second visit, and we were not disappointed; we’re already looking forward to next year! The hotel staff were as friendly as ever, and our room was just as I remembered it from last year—clean and well-maintained.

Alcohol drink selection poor, restaurant closed at our time of year (end of October), breakfast expensive at 19 Euros (note we didn’t take part and ate out so didn’t view)

Located directly in front of the main entrance to the medieval city. Nice walk into the main city where the train station is located and lots of bars and restaurants in the square. Swimming pool was nice. Bus takes you from Carcassonne airport directly to the front of the hotel.

Excellent location, excellent room, excellent pool. A very good place to stay and get to know not only Carcassonne (this was our fourth visit) but this part of Occitanie. And our visit to La Table de Franck Putelat was exquisite!

The location to the castle was excellent, a short walk to explore the castle . Staff were very friendly and helpful to our needs. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety.
