Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumPetite Emeraude is a wonderful place to stay! The hosts have paid attention to every detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very fresh and clean. The hosts are lovely people who also speak English and German. They shared valuable advice about visiting the surroundings (when to go best to avoid the crowds, parking possibilities, etc.), this was much appreciated. Breakfast was excellent with variety of options. Highly recommended!

LuxembourgSimone and her partner really take good care of their guests, our suite is spacious with a separate area for study or remote work (should be avoided :-)), tastefully decorated and very cleaned. The garden is beautifully landscaped, zen and peaceful. Breakfast is simple and nice, providing a taste of the local and homemade products. Friendly atmosphere with other travelling guests, a good opportunity to share some experience of good places and restaurants to visit during breakfast served in the veranda. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to stay in Cancale Brittany :-)

BelgiumIt's not in the city so you need a car. For us, this was no issue.
Great room, nice breakfast, friendly people. This is how a B&B should be. Highly recommended

United StatesWe liked it very much. We love walking so the 1.2 mile walk to harbor was not an issue. If you cannot walk you would have to drive.
Perfectly appointed and beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Hosts were excellent

Czech RepublicIf you plan to go to to Cancale seaside by foot, note that there are no sidewalks for the fir part of the way, the house is around 25 min walking from where all the restaurants are. BUT you can drive and there are severral parking lots close by. :)
Amazing accommodation!!! Both hosts — Simone and Philip — are very kind people. Every day they served super tasty breakfast and gave us tips about nearby locations. let me share them here: for Mont Saint Michel — go early or at night (it’s actually open at night during the summer season) and don’t be worried about parking, there is a huge parking lot. For Saint Malo and Dinan — you can park on Park Feval in Saint Malo, quite cheap, and the parking ticket serves as a bus ticket to the old town. There you can take a city ferry that can take you to Dinan. It leaves around every 20-30 minutes and it’s really convenient — this way you don’t need to find various parking spots. We also stopped by at the Oyster farm market in Cancale — highly recommended to walk there from the left, by the coastline with a great view over the sea farms. Overall, great experience, thanks for everything!

NetherlandsActually no negative points. Be aware that this chambre d'hote is on the outskirts of Cancale, about 2,5 km from the port an its restaurants. As we chose to be in an quiet area, we were very happy with this location
Perfect stay in Petite Emeraude. The hosts really made us feel welcome and provided lots of information on hiking routes and other things in the region. The chambre d'hote was very clean, our room (suite) was very comfortable and had more than enough space. Facility to make tea and coffee in the veranda was excellent, as were parking place in front of the house. Breakfast was very good, with homemade sweets every day

SwitzerlandGreat place to stay in Cancale. The rooms are spacious, new, clean and very well-designed. The breakfast is great with a lot of great choices both from the hostess and the local bakery. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Petite Emeraude is located fairly close to Cancale and not that far away from other great places (St Malo, Dinan and Mt St Michel), so it was a great base for exploring this part of Brittany.
