Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only downside is (unlike in a hotel) your room doesn’t get cleaned until you leave. It’s nice to have your bed made and a quick clean up whilst you’re on holiday I think.
Perfect location right in the heart of Dinan. Only a 2 minute walk from nearest car park which with a token from Perlampille meant we only paid €12.00 for 48 hours.

United KingdomNot really dislikes, but things to be aware of.....The exposed oak beam roof structure, whilst amazing to look at, could present difficulties for the taller person. I'm 6'1" and had to keep my head slightly down as I moved around the place. My wife had no such trouble. No aircon but plenty of fresh air ventilation Climbing 50 steps with luggage (up an amazing old staircase) might prove a challenge for some!
We were in the extremely spacious 2nd floor self catering apartment. Fabulous interior with "open to view" 200 year old roof structure. All modern conveniences in kitchen and bathroom, except for an electric kettle, strangely! The location is outstanding because you step out of the front door, pretty much straight into the heart of Dinan's old city. Car parking was good and relatively spacious in the modern public underground car park, where you will always be allowed access even if the car park is deemed to be full. Perhaps a 200 metre walk from the property?

GermanyIf there was one thing that I would change then I would prefer having separate duvets rather than the French-style one duvet. But that's a general problem as a German travelling in France. 😀 Unfortunately, the tea house was closed during our stay. This place was one of the reasons why I selected to stay at Perlépampille. Looked so beautiful! So we definitely have to return to Perlépampille! Merci Nathalie and team!
I had searched for a location as a basis to explore Mont St. Michel and was attracted by Dinan - what a hidden gem! We had a wonderful time at the Perlépampille right in the heart of picturesque medieval town of Dinan. Thanks to Nathalie even parking in the historical center next to the accomodation was easy. We enjoyed the beautiful apartment called "L'Ecrin" which means jewel case. That says it all! The views over the roofs of this fairy-tale town are stunning, both for sunrise and sunset over. A very quiet and cozy place too. Highly recommended!

United KingdomWe arrived on market day, so all the local roads were closed, so GPS was totally confused. You need to park up near the car-park, to walk to apartment to pick up carpark ticket. I guess if I had arrived on a non-market day, then I could have parked closer to apartment to carry all luggage. Wi-Fi was so slow, it would not work in the apartment Bed is not as wide as a King-size
Location is excellent, literally in the centre of the old town, in a lovely square. Everywhere is very accessible. There is a Boulangerie within 20mtrs for your daily baguette. There are lovely places to visit within 30-40mins drive. The port of Dinan is well worth the walk. Once I had the car-park ticket, then parking was good & secure. We were lucky enough to have a small band play outside in the square, during early evening...it was lovely! Nathalie & Harry were lovely hosts

United KingdomNo drawers anywhere in the apartment, had to leave underwear etc in suitcase. Wardrobe perhaps too small for 2 people for 1 week stay. Would have been nice to access the garden outside of the opening hours of the attached cafe/shop.

United KingdomWe got a parking space in the nearby covered carpark but had to wait for someone to leave as spaces were limited. The alternative was too far to iug suitcases from. We had no WiFi for the first 24 hours. The bedroom had no outside windows to let in fresh air.
Fantastic location and a beautiful bijou apartment. Lots of restaurants, shops and places of interest within minutes. Lovely bathroom with good and plentiful hot water. Nathalie was a very accommodating and responsive host.

NetherlandsThe shower was too small regarding the height.
The room was ok, not something extremely good but we could stay. If you are too tall maybe you will have an issue with the height of the shower. The keys was given to us by a person from the same named coffee as we arrived before 19.00. It is exactly in the city centre so very convenient for walks. They gave us a card or parking in an underground parking 100-200m away which was perfect.
