Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe had a classic room on floor 3. Room was elegant however there was no shower just a small bath with a hand held shower attachment. Also for such an elegant and high end hotel the coffee/tea offering was poor in the classic room.
Location of hotel. Friendly ambience. Safe parking. Historical.

RomaniaWe stayed for 7 nights. 1. Breakfast very poor in choices. Honestly, a bit unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. And eating almost the same things every morning is not very pleasant. 2. The restaurant is closed from Sunday to Tuesday. You can go out to eat in the city without any problems, but still, from my point of view, the restaurant should always be open at a hotel. They are not the only ones with this problem, I have seen it at several restaurants in the area. Maybe that is how it is practiced. 3. Having a child with us, you don't really have anything to feed him at the restaurant if you want to have dinner. Maybe in the future it would be ok to have a children's menu. 4. Very spacious room but you can hear some noise from other rooms. It is not something to be scared of but at some point it can be disturbing.
We stayed in the Suite and had a bedroom and a living room. 1. The location of the hotel is excellent. 2. Superb view of Paris and immediate access to the Park. 3. Quiet surroundings

ChinaThe noise in the early mornings from the maintenance in the gardens but more importantly the clueless receptionists about pretty much anything around. No bicycle rentals as we were said near the hotel, park opening at 8am and not 7:30 as we were said. Average food at the restaurant but great service there ! And also to be noticed great attitude from a couple of staff (smiling and enquiring about how we were doing) but reception can be greatly improved with some training and sense of ownership that is lacking for this level of property
Location and charm of this historical. Great terrace and clean rooms.

AustraliaOur main criticism is that, for months, we were bombarded with scam attempts, including from within Booking.com's own portal. Maybe 30 or more of them. We did not experience this with similar bookings at other hotels, on this trip. Other guests had exactly the same problem. Of course, the hotel blamed Booking.com, for having gotten hacked! I would urge Booking.com and the hotel to get to the bottom of this. In the mean time, I would strongly suggest booking with the hotel directly, rather than going through Booking.com, if guests want to stay there.
Location was excellent with fabulous views, and near the RER station. Parking was also excellent and free, on site. The restaurant was excellent, but not every night. However, breakfast was cold on one morning.

United KingdomOur bedroom view wasn't great, as it was towards the road with the hotel grounds below it being quite messy (basically the bins!). Quite a lot of the hotel needed sprucing up, but overall we liked it!
A lovely old hotel with an incredible history. We booked a larger room, and it was really spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows. The dining room had the most fabulous view over Paris and you could enter the park/gardens via a private gate, which was lovely for walking. Also only 5 mins walk to the centre of St Germain via the park.

United KingdomRestaurant is superb - but pricey
Lovely rooms and shared spaces. Beautiful view over Paris; restaurant and terrace have panoramic views over western Paris. We had a next-one-up from basic room, good size for two. Location is good - St Germain is an elegant suburb/town about 10 miles from central Paris. There is a good train connection in to central Paris.

SwitzerlandAt arrival after 16:00, the room was not ready (check-in starts at 16:00), and we were not given a time when it would be ready. We had to wait for about 45 minutes. On the positive side, we were invited for a drink on the (beautiful) terrace. When going into the room, the extra-bed we had ordered for our daughter was not there. The room also was too small for an extra-bed. Another room could not be found, so we accepted to have a bed squeezed in and spend one night like this. The next day, we were given a larger room. Thank you to the very nice lady taking care of the rooms. At check-out, we had to wait about half an hour until the complicated check-out of a group had been done. Hard to understand why the check-out paperwork is not ready in advance, and why no second person was present at the reception to do our check-out (which was done in 3 minutes).
Staff was friendly, Hotel is clean and at a very good location. Free parking is definitely a plus value.
