How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Amazing location close to cafes, bars, and restaurants. Simple accommodation but staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean and welcoming so can highly recommend.

Great location for the square with a few bars and restaurants and shops, it's a walk down the hill to the beaches but easily doable, has its own parking if you book in secure garage. Great welcome and everyone really friendly.

The self-cleaning of apartments wasn’t clear to us when booking, but probably our fault as we did not read the fine print - so not a complaint.
Superb location in the absolute center of Bidart, a very cute basque village. Nice staff, able to host family of 5, indoor parking, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen.

The kitchen and kitchen equipment were fairly minimalistic in the studio apartment and the bed is fairly small and uncomfortable.
The location is amazing, right in the middle of the cute center of Bidart and within crawling distance from the beach. The staff at the reception is also very friendly and welcoming.

Friendly, clean, and comfortable hotel in the centre of Bidart. Lovely views of the pretty Basque central square from the window. Range of places to eat and walks to beaches and viewpoints. St Jean, Biarritz and Bayonne all within easy driving distance, but we liked coming back to the quieter Bidart.

A rare gem. A warm welcome, very clean and excellent attention to detail. Good local recommendations for restaurants. Our dog was also made very welcome too. Thank you for a very good short stay.

A couple of kitchen items not spotlessly clean on arrival, but overall good. The accommodation was basic but had what you needed. The location was not as good for walking to the beach.
Great welcome and garage parking right in the centre of the town. Great location for local restaurants

Everything was great
All is impeccable. Cozy hotel right in the city center. Very convenient location, clean room, friendly personnel. I enjoyed healthy breakfast with lots of different options including local delicacies. The city has great vibes and a nice beach, I would definitely visit it again and stay in the same hotel!

The town is lovely and the hotel was well placed. Secure locked garage available for 15€. The breakfast was fine.

Small matter: WIFI was a tad iffy and gone completely in the middle of the night. Taking a shower in the tub would have been a little scary due to tricky access and lack of non-skid rug and grab bars.
Zero stairs from the entrance to the room: 1,2,7&8 share that feature. The staff managed to transform a hotel that usually had a beach feel to a cozy holiday chalet virtually overnight. Breakfast (13€) featured excellent gâteau basque cerise and brebis cheese. Solid dinner choices were but a short walk away.

This is a very small cosy hotel if you like to have a bar and lounge area, this might not be for you. Having said that there are plenty of different bars and restaurants right next to the hotel in the center.
All staff very friendly, very efficient and helpful, all needs were met. Rooms comfortable, quiet, a homely atmosphere with view of Basque houses and hills. Perfect location for beach, restaurants and shops a short walk away.

The towels were not changed every day.
The hotel was at the center of the village, close to everything, near a free parking. It was very clean. The staff was very kind and helpful

We had an excellent one bedroomed apartment, which had good facilities for a longer stay (we only stayed 2 nights). We were able to cater our own breakfast - the boulangerue, open at 7am is a few yards away. Bidart has some excellent restaurants and fantastic beaches although it rained when we were there. It is a very attractive location. Staff were helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our stay.
