A great apartment in the center of Bastille. Clean and nice. 20 minutes walk from the medieval city, lots of shops and cafes nearby. The host is very friendly and flexible. I had a great weekend, thank you.

The main lock on the ground floor can only be opened if you have learned it well. If you forget, if the key has to be turned right or left you will not be able to enter the building.

Its a very safe, quiet and peaceful area although it looks like you have landed in an ancient time. The Apartment owner also wanted to change the lock of the apartment on the 1st floor. You will see very few people on the streets. Less traffic, more walking is required in this city

The only reason my rating was brought down a little was because the night of my stay there was a man shouting loudly outside the window around 4am. However, I think this was an exception as otherwise the street was quite calm and quiet during the night (and day), so I still wholeheartedly recommend staying at L'ombrelle!!

The apartment is simple but clean and has everything you need, making it perfect for both shorter and longer stays! The owner is also wonderful, patient, and willing to answer all questions you may have (merci beaucoup Eugène, et bon continuation!!!).

An old style apartment located in the Bastide just a few minutes walk from bars and restaurants and 30 minutes walk from the famous old city and castle. There is no parking but there is a secure underground car park just 5 minutes walk away on the north edge of the Bastide (7 euros for 24 hours). The very friendly owner met me to give me the keys and tell me how everything worked, and he even provided a complimentary bottle of chilled wine in the fridge. It's an old quirky place but it's very clean and the beds are new and it had everything I needed for a short stay. There's a small balcony off one of the bedrooms overlooking the street. Good value for money for the location.

One needed an non slip mat, getting out of the shower, as water escaped on to the tiles.!! Mugs need reviewing...one had a long crack..more plates etc could be in place. Just about adequate but sparce.. All in All ,it was fine and I certainly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone.It was spotless, which was most important and I slept well.

Location is very good. Few steps from Gare and shops. There everything you need for comfortable stay in town. Best price in town. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot! The property is not hosted with the owner but I cannot find this information on the listing. Not a problem for me, except that the property is listed as "non smoking"yet the other guests were indeed smoking and there was no one to tell them not to. If I were a lone female I may be concerned about sharing with strangers.

Eugene is very responsive to requests - he brought a second duvet for me on request (I get very cold at night). The property is excellent value - but think "apartment" not "hotel" and adjust your expectations accordingly.

Bed was not made properly, had to put quilt into the cover. Toiletries were poor. Shower gel empty & only a used soap block was available. Bathroom very basic, would not have liked to share bathroom or kitchen area with any occupants in the other bedroom.

The host gave me a very warm welcome. The apartment was sparkling clean and very comfortable with everything that is needed. It is conveniently located a few blocks from the train station and a walkable distance from the old city. Overall I had a great stay!

The street was just a little noisy in the morning.

Eugene is a lovely man, very helpful and clear with directions. Clean apartment and has everything needed. Near the train station, which was useful and easy to get to other places but bear in mind it's a noisy street.

The bed is very noisy and felt very used, and also a strong smell of sewage water / toilet was always there we had to keep the windows open because it felt a little too much.

The location is top, it's close to the big square and very convenient for all sorts of transportation, attractions and restaurants ... The host is very kind and helpful he introduced us to the town and gave us a good idea about the apartment and town ...
