In one of the most exclusive ski resort town in the world, this hotel is a relative bargain. But you know why once you check in. The hotel has seen its glorious days and definitely shouting for a complete renovation. There are still several pluses. The location is nice, walk to ski lift across the street. The breakfast room has beautiful views. The best part is the staff in the ski locker room. They put on and take off your ski boots every time! A rare lux treatment, rarely offered at even the most pampering resorts. 10/10 for the ski locker staffs!

Stayed here 4 times before . In truth the hotel is not in ‘ the first flush of youth ‘ but is still acceptable. Great position , friendly and helpful staff , good breakfasts and , for Courchevel, almost good value for money 😂

The hotel room is old and poorly maintained. Hair dryer does not work well. shower head very low and old. the room was cold. Bathroom heating was not working. poor breakfast

The common areas and hotel view are very beautiful. The location is great, shuttle stop and ski slopes are in front of the hotel. There is access to the ski room within the hotel

The hotel is quite old and need some renew, like carpets and some furniture, but nothing that can not be dealing with.

Location was great, not so far from Courchevel 1850 and the staff is wonderful, very kind and helpful with all our demands. They helped us with restaurant reservations, public transport, taxi, late dinner when we arrived. They are awesome. Breakfast was very good (best scrambled eggs ever).

- The hotel entrance is located almost one floor up from street level and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. - Similarly, our room on the 6th floor was not served by an elevator (reception is on the 5th floor so we only had 1 flight of stairs to climb to reach 6th floor). The elevator serves floors 1-5 apparently. - Sound insulation in the rooms is not great, however our stay was nice and quiet regardless. - The hotel and rooms are very dated. Needs renovation. - Rooms are rather small. - Fitted carpet could do with professional cleaning.

Despite some harsher reviews, the New Solarium completely met our expectations for a perfectly located, ski in/out, reasonably priced hotel (by Courchevel standards) with great ski shop. All of the staff were nice, pleasant and helpful. Cleaning crew did in fact replace our towels daily (despite some reviews to the contrary). Other positives: - Breakfast was very good with substantial variety (and pancake Saturday!) - Nice relaxing spa area with large heated pool, small sauna and steam room. - Cosy lobby. - Sits right across from Jardin Alpin gondola (very convenient for town centre access).

Not a dislike exactly, but one thing to consider: Jardin Alpin lift was the main way of transport back to hotel from town (if you don't want to walk uphill for 15 minutes) and it doesn't operate after 19:10. There is also a shuttle which we didn't take so I don't know if it is easy to use it.

Ski in-out was great. Location is great for skiing. I loved the sauna, steam bath and indoor pool. The lobby is nice, to spend some time in the evenings. Breakfast was fulfilling. Great in terms of value for money, considering the average hotel prices in Courchevel 1850

Facilities are run down. Elevator is extremely slow. Some staff didn’t speak English at all, including on reception.

Location is excellent right on the slopes, next to L’Apogee. Price is excellent for 1850.

The bedroom was tired and needed updating . The carpets need renewing as occasionally they emitted an unpleasant odour. The dinner menu could have a bit more choice with some cheaper alternatives although the food was well cooked and prepared I thought the prices and the drinks were quite expensive.

The location was perfect. The bar area was really nice . All the staff were all fantastic . The breakfast was very good .
