How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No complaints.
We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. Just a short tram ride from the main city centre, it provided all we expected of a city hotel. The room was restful, spacious and well maintained, and the hotel had many extra facilities and services. We would stay here again.

No bar fridge, and the toilet door was very difficult to open. I got stuck and if I was on my own it would have been a very difficult situation.
It was outside the old part of town but within easy walking distance of it as well as the Museum of Fine Arts, Cathedral and the river. Public transport very accessible. The room was large and clean. The reception area was very convivial with bar and cafe/restaurant and it was well used.

Slightly dated decor in the corridors upstairs but that didn’t affect our stay.
Good location near to the cathedral. A couple of little supermarkets close by. Really short walk from the tram from the airport and the city. Great soundproofing. We were facing the street but heard no noise from outside or any other rooms. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Lovely shower room.

The shower/bath was extremely slippery and dangerous for my age group. We asked for a bath mat but didn't receive one.
Did not have breakfast. Location was excellent.

Bed are too soft Pillow also to soft Price of garage (it is not hotel garage) is 24e/day. No any discount for hotel guests, at least 10% or anything, just as a show that hotel did something for their guests since they don't have parking for their guests.
Toilet separate then bathroom Bathtub Clean room with separate seating area Private parking garage (called "Metpark 8 Mai 1945") is just next to hotel (entry is on back side od hotel). On entry you press "Visitour" and they scan you license plates (so no any paper ticket). Go on 1st floor and follow signs Novotel (easy to folow, there is min 10 direction signs). You pass 2 doors and you are in cafe garden of hotel, so from car to reception max 30m. When you want to go to garage, again you press Visitor and type registration plates and open door toward garage. When you want to exit, just come to exit, it will say how much to pay, just put card on contactless and gate is open. Very modern garage and very clean, also centrally located so price is adequate to what you get.

No parking for cars with rooftop, had to look for parking on the street. Smell from the toilet in the room.

There was a smell at thr entance of the room. Such as wet cloth or something else. Room was clean but every time we entered the room that smell hit us.
Facility was great, it was close to the city center.

The AC sometimes is not working properly! But I was in a very hot month (August) but I think everything else is fine
The location very convenient, restaurant is amazing, service is above and beyond !

Not much.. but... Pillows were awful. There were not enough pillows and they were lumpy, just really not good.
Staff were really lovely. A lovely hotel. We even had a note left for our wedding anniversary. Such a lovely touch. Thank you so much it really meant a lot.

We found the bed too hard, but that is personal taste. The removal of fridges from the room made it less appealing.
Friendly, helpful, professional staff. The quality of food in restaurant & the tapas style. Informality of the check in ‘desks’.

Stepping into bath for shower was very slippy. Not great for short people or children. No water containers provided to fill from water machine.
