How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The bed mats are super tall. You feel like king Louis when jumping on the beds.
Very nice old-style Montmartre apartment. The surroundings are great. There was even one bedroom more than advertised, which was a nice surprise.

Like: Great location for Montmartre, 2min walk to some fab cafés and bars. Very quiet. Comfy beds.

Heavier curtains on the front bedroom windows would be appreciated but overall excellent.

Some mattresses were overused, and not so comfortable. Plugs in one of the bedrooms didn’t work, so recharging of cellphones needed to be done in the living room.
Excellent location and amenities. It’s bigger than expected. Great value for money. Heaters in all rooms, also the hot water was enough for at least 4 showers in a row.

Two out of three rooms are facing the street which can be quite noisy during the night, so earplugs are neccesary.
The flat was in a great area with amazing restaurants nearby. We loved that the flat had two toilets and felt quite spacious, also the host was very nice and everything went smooth.

The only issue we had was running out of hot water in the shower with 5 of us.
We messaged ahead on our arrival and Claude met us with apartment keys. Great value for money, good wifi, good kitchen facilities, great to have a washing machine, quirky cool location with great bakery at one end of the street and lots of eating out options around. Safe complex, cool in the high summer temperatures. Small flight of stairs up to our room with 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 toilets. Perfect.

A very warm and friendly welcome (merci beaucoup, Claude) into the heart of Montmartre. Great location puts you in easy reach of bars, restaurants and shops and is only a short walk from the Sacre Cœur. Apartment clean and spacious and had everything we were looking for. Would happily book again

We had made a reservation for six people. However, one of our friend's visa was denied. Despite this, tourism tax was also collected for those whose visa was refused.

A little noisy and the apartment could do with some heavier curtains to block out sensor light coming on when people get home at all hours.

The two bedrooms at the front were difficult to sleep in with the noise in the street (from a bar) which went on until about 2am. The windows were only single glazing so you can hear everything. It would have been helpful also to have better blinds in these particular bedrooms. The bedroom at the back was quiet and comfortable. There was a tv but I had no idea how to get it to work, which would have been useful to distract tired kids.
The property was in a great location walking distance to moulin rouge, bars restaurants shops etc. The property itself was clean and felt safe. The welcome booklet was useful.

It’s a bit worn, apart from the beds which are very fresh and comfy. Everything else is a bit used. There was a lot of noise outside on the Friday night. Until about 3am. My son slept in one of the front facing rooms and it was a rough night.
The location is great. My favourite part of Paris. Very comfy beds and lots of space.

The apartment was very basic. items were tatty and not very clean. There were stains on the sofa and in one of the bedroooms. One of the toilets was not nice at all. It felt grubby. Did not use the TV, not only because obviously I wouldn't be doing that on vacation anyway, but the amount of wiring around it was mindboggling. It was very dated and not up to standard specs in my opinion.
Claude did meet me on arival and was very prompt and let me access the accomdation very early. He was also very kind recommending the nannybag app for somewhere to leave our bags as we were flying in the evening on return. That was an excellent app. He also offered us 15 per cent off if we booked directly through him if we went to Paris again as they have many apartments, so he was a lovely guy.
