How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room had tea/coffee facilities but wasn't located near a plug. After much moving around of furniture and trial and error, we had to put the kettle on the floor by the bathroom door. The room was warm despite the weather, and a plug-in fan was provided. Again, this wouldn't reach a plug. We didn't use it as it was covered in dust. Thankfully, leaving the window open worked and being a Monday, the downstairs nightclub was closed.
Great location, and the breakfast had a superb choice. The family room had 4 beds in and was compact but sufficient. It worked for our 1 night stay.

Right next door to a club, that started at 12am. I was jealous that I’m 47 and couldn’t join in. Put in the complementary ear buds in and went back to sleep.
Amazing location everything in walking distance. Really helpful staff.

The bathroom is so tiny it’s hard to get to the toilet. I’m quite small, so bigger people keep this in mind. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me, just be aware.
Location was perfect, sweet little room, comfortable bed, friendly staff.

Car parking is a bit of a faf , but it is a city centre .
The hotel is perfectly placed for the old town and town centre , the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very good with a wide range of things to choose from .

There was a strong smell in the room, coming from the bathroom pipes, probably due to a plumbing problem. One night, an electrical issue prevented guests from entering the hotel, causing some chaos. The fact that there is no continuous front desk presence is very problematic if the outside door doesn't work properly.
Air conditioning was nice, and the manager and staff are also very nice and welcoming. Overall, this is a pleasant hotel, despite the few issues faced.

No elevator. The reception is not open in the afternoons.
Excellent location for those who want to explore Tours. Everything is in walking distance and the tram station is nearby. Hotel staff was very friendly.

The bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been, although, I genuinely believe this was an oversight and not a lack of interest in cleaning properly. Just would have been good to take a last look before deeming the room clean. Also, the hotel is quite noisy when others are moving around, but that's to be expected in an older building.
The location was very central, parking was easy, the staff we very nice, and the room had everything we needed.

Private parking actually not available and parking near the hotel on Friday night is hard to find. No elevator. Not a problem for us, just good to know.
Located in the heart of the city, comfortable rooms and bed. Nice place to stay. Despite having window towards the square it was quiet in the room.

There was no lift but we just took it slowly. The staff will help with bags if needed.
It is right in the centre of Tours. Parking is convenient. Lots of restaurants, bars etc nearby as well as the beautiful Loire river and the cathedral and other sights.

Convenient location, close to lots of bars and restaurants and historic centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Safe storage for my bicycle. Nice view from top floor room overlooking square.
