Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PakistanRoom is just ok, very simple. Nothing extraordinary. Does the job for few nights.
Perfect location to both Paris stations. Plenty of food options around. Metro just down. Considering the location, it's the best. But considering the facilities, room conditions etc. I would rate 2 star

United StatesThe neighborhood can feel a bit sketchy after dark. Not dangerous but a bit sketchy but that's not unusual in a large city anywhere in the world. Also, given how hot it was, I wished they replaced the water bottles daily - seems like a small thing to do but can improve the stay experience so much. One night we had to walk around looking for a super market after dark just to buy some water to drink.
The location is great. There is a Metro stop 10 feet from the entrance to the hotel. And two large stations Gare de L'est and Gare du Nord are a short walking distance away. There's also a bus stop within a few minutes walking that can take one straight into the city center and back. A lot of food options are nearby - both French cafes and bakeries as well as Indian food (in fact, an Arya Bhavan had just opened).

ItalyThe area is what it is, near the station not exactly the most pleasant place, but honestly full of places that are also open until late so quite safe, an excellent place from which to start visiting Paris.
It was a very pleasant surprise. I booked this hotel at the last minute for a short two-night stay to visit a friend in Paris. The hotel is located 100 meters from the Paris-Est train station and a short walk from the metro. It's not particularly beautiful from the outside, but the rooms are very well-appointed. They aren't overly large, but they have large windows that overlook a very quiet interior. The shower was comfortable, and the bed even more so. I may have felt a little warm, but overall it was excellent. 24-hour reception service. Overall, an excellent value. Highly recommended.

FinlandThe room is very compact, I had no issues but I am small and was alone. If I had to share the space with someonelse, it would have been cramped. a very large person could not use the shower
Great value for money Right next to the Est train station and fairly close to the Nord train station. Very clean and recently remodeled facilities. Great bed

OmanThe weather in Paris was very hot, and the room had no air conditioning. Additionally, it was quite narrow and offered no view from the window
The location next to Gare de l'Est was convenient, and the receptionist Fareed was friendly and supportive

United StatesThe only criticism was that the light over the sink in the bathroom did not work.
Very clean, very close to the train and Metro station. The night receptionist steered me to an excellent Pakistani restaurant, Salil, where the food was delicious. The hotel was super clean and the bed really comfortable.

United StatesThey only had a small fan in the room, definitely need A/C, our room was too hot.
The location was great, right in front of the train station and the metro which was super convenient. Staff was very nice, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again. :)

UkraineI knew the area near the train station wasn’t the best, but since checkout was at 11 and my train from the northern station was at 18:00, this hotel was a convenient choice — I could leave my luggage at reception until departure. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We stayed on a hot summer day, and although there was no air conditioning in the room, there were two fans, which helped a bit. The room also had a fridge, kettle, cups, and tea, which was a nice touch. Sound insulation was good — our windows faced the station and a busy road, but it was surprisingly quiet.

AustraliaNo air conditioning - but so few places in Paris have air conditioning to start with… so really it was the heatwave conditions I didn’t like, more so than anything about the property itself.
Staff were all so lovely, and there was someone available at reception 24 hours if needed. Position was so convenient to explore the daily life of Paris. And as solo female (older) traveller I always felt safe

AustraliaAs I said above the shower was fine for us but could be hard to navigate for others. The rooms looked just like the pictures, I forgot to take my own.
The location is fantastic, close to both Gare due Nord and de l'est, walkable with a wheel case for most. So easily accessible for the airport. There is also a metro stop right outside and buses. We got the bus to Montmartre and the metro straight to Las Halles. We spent two nights here and the staff were fantastic and welcoming. There is always someone on the desk. There is a lift but in proper Parisian style it's pretty small. The room was clean and spacious, our room was at the back so it was really quiet too. The bathroom is compact and if you are larger or have accessibility issues you may need to check as getting in and out of the shower could be difficult. For us it was fantastic, there were good places to eat close by after a tough day seeing the sights of Paris. Highly recommend waking to the bakery Les Pains does Copains for breakfast before you go see the sights. We had the croissant and a ham and cheese baguette which were amazing and there were so many things to choose from. This hotel is fantastic value for money and in a great location, would stay again happily.

GermanyThe hotel is right across the street from the Paris Est train station, and a 10 minute walk from the Eurostar terminal at Paris Nord. The reception area and hallways are a bit older and run down, but the room was recently renovated and had modern fittings and amenities.
