Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe staff as usual at the secure havens lot to learn about good customer service. There were only two channels on our tv and the parking did not clearly advertise that it was an extra 17 Euros
It was a clean hotel

United KingdomAlthough the dog charge and car park was a little expensive we could not have managed without secure parking.
Our room was charming with a little balcony overlooking the town with a fabulous view of the famous Millau bridge. We had table and chairs in the room which meant we could eat there with our little dog after a long journey en route from UK to Spain. We ordered a Pizza from reception which came promptly and was nice. Breakfast was extremely good, all nice and fresh with great choice and tables spaced well apart very important in these times. We are very much looking forward to our stay on return journey from Spain to Cornwall - See you soon.

AustraliaPretty much everything. How can they honestly charge so much for such a terrible place.
I would really like to say i loved it, but sadly there's not a lot to like here. This is supposedly a 4 star hotel. I would not give it a 1. Rooms had no fridges, only 2 paper cups to make a cup of tea / coffee - God forbid if two people want more than 1 cup of tea a day! Just 1 bottle of water (warm - and are we supposed to share it?) so on a hot day if you want a cool drink, you have to go to the bar downstairs that did not have air conditioning (so the poor staff had to swelter in oppressive conditions due to the heat wave) to order a cold drink that soon went hot. When I complained about the lack of a fridge in our room, I was told only premium rooms have fridges. We paid over $600 for two nights and this was supposedly NOT a premium room??? I would suggest that all rooms in a 4* hotel would have a fridge. A Billiards table is supplied for games but the cues had no tips or were broken. Air conditioning in the rooms was noisy and ineffective…. The bed was lumpy and very uncomfortable. I would like to recommend this hotel, but sadly I can't. The people that say this hotel is 4 stars need a serious education on what a 4 star hotel should be. I suggest that they visit an Apart'City hotel at Saint- Julien-en-Genevois because this is an excellent place and well worth the 4 star rating.

SingaporeThe rooms had everything we needed for a family although the decor was a little tired and could do with refreshing. For one night it was fine and didn't detract from our stay, but more of an observation.
The hotel is very well situated and was easy to find with off-street parking which was great. The staff at check-in, given I had added a late room booking in addition to the ones we had booked initially were super friendly and very helpful.

United KingdomBreakfast was ok but only one member of staff visible who was in deep conversation with a lady for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile the eggs were empty, there were no pastries left and the only fruit left were apples. Great shame as this was our last impression of this stay on our way back home from Spain, luckily we stayed the night on our way to Spain too so we know how good the breakfast can be when the staff don't take their eye off the ball.
Our room was well equipped and nicely furnished even had a table and chairs in the room and on the balcony which had a fabulous view of the bridge. The reception staff were very helpful and cheerful on arrival and departure. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return
