Everything was good

I travel quite a bit and this was the best place I have ever stayed. Perfect room decor and clever use of space. You want to look at everything as if in a museum, but at the same time it is very cozy and has everything you need for a stay. Julia was always in touch and shared useful information. The apartment is located on a busy street, but hidden behind an incredibly quiet courtyard.

Great location right next to the Metro in a nice area with lots of cafes and shops. The host was really friendly accommodating all my requests from the different time of check-in to schedule of room service. They also send me special information on all the different bars, cafes, restaurants and shops nearby.

If I had criticisms or suggestions for improvement then some kitchen basics like salt and pepper etc would be helpful as would a sharp knife bigger than the tiny one supplied. Some privacy is required in the flat without having to close all the curtains

Great location in the centre with all the bustle around the building but set in a quiet courtyard well away from the noise. Perfect. Metro was 2/3 minutes walk away. Jean-Charles was extremely helpful. The suite was spacious and comfortable and there was a modern well equipped kitchen, although I would have much preferred a sofa in the lounge area rather than a single bed with cushions. Overall it was ideal for a short stay to see Lyon and I would go back.

So a lot of positives for this stay: + kind and accommodating hosts + location is excellent, just 2 minute walk from A line metro, clean and safe neighbourhood + apartments in the inner court of a quiet living complex with a gardeny feel to it + good and varied choice of restaurants nearby + apartment had tasteful decor and furniture and bath and electronic appliances looked new + nicolas wine store directly across hotel entry Really have nothing negative to say about our stay here and just wanted to give Julie a big shout-out for making our stay as pleasant as possible :)

Nothing. It was all excellent.

The Vendome apartment was just as described. It is elegant and very well furnished. The bedroom is large and the sitting/kitchen area suited our needs perfectly. The heaters are very effective and we found the apartment warm and comfortable throughout our stay. The bed and the single bed in the sitting area are both very comfortable. The location is excellent - with the Metro at Foch just 2 minutes walk away, but if you want to walk you can also walk to e.g. Bellecour and Vieux Lyon, strolling across some of the many bridges. There are restaurants and cafes very near to the apartment but the apartment is situated in a very quite courtyard so we slept very well. Julie met us on arrival to give us our keys and to welcome us to Lyon. She provided lots of useful information. She also checked, during our visit (5 nights) that everything was fine for us. She even allowed us to check out a little late and this enabled us to discover an excellent brunch café in Croix Rousse and to not be too early for our late afternoon flight back to the UK.

Everything was great!

It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. Very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and a work area which was really helpful. The decor is a really nice change to most hotels. Julie who met me for the check-in was super friendly and very helpful! I highly recommend this hotel and I will be back again.

The MHL is conveniently located in central Lyon close to public transport stops. It is a well equipped, homely apartment.

The downstairs apartment (Le Seze) isn’t a great layout, with the outside door opening onto the bedroom area, steps down into the bathroom, and everything a bit squashed in. Still works ok though.

Excellent location, self-contained apartments off an internal courtyard. Good access to local shops etc. The upstairs apartment (Vendome) is well furnished, good facilities. In both apartments the beds are really comfortable! Close to a metro station (Foch). Parking at the LPA Morand was quite expensive but very convenient and close.

Nothing actually

My husband and I were extremely impressed with both the apartment and the overall service. Our apartment is at the ground floor, we love how the main door is cleverly camouflaged using a series of lush planters, creating both privacy and a pleasing nature aesthetic.The interior is nicely decorated, cosy and clean. Bed is comfy with spacious built-in wardrobe to accommodate our clothes and stuffs. The kitchenette is well-equipped with all the essentials: induction stove, fridge, dish washer, washing machine, cutleries and utensils, microwave, coffee maker and electric kettle etc., we could prepare meals like we were at home. Bathroom is well ventilated with heater water. Everything is clean, functional, and thoughtfully arranged, It really felt like a home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better – right in the heart of the city! The Foch station is just a short walk away, getting around Lyon is a breeze. Nearby is the Fontaine de la Place du Maréchal Lyautey, a charming sculpture fountain surrounded by pretty lush of flower. There are also many good cafes, restaurants, shops around. The management had recommended us a list of cafes and restaurants, we managed to try some and they were all really good: 1. Café de Genève–Opens at 6:30am. Serves nice meals, good for a drink or coffee 2.Au Petit Vatel–Nice lyonnaise food and dessert (for take-away only) 3. Miette–beautiful baguette, sandwiches and dessert, yummy! 4.Casino & Carrefour-- wide range of groceries, fresh veggie and fruits Overall, we highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a central location with excellent amenities and service. Inevitably, in an old building there will be a few inconveniences, but these are more than compensated for by the charm of the surroundings. Watch out if you are tall!

You could go to a cookie-cutter hotel, or you could go to a stylish, individually decorated apartment with a helpful host who is full of suggestions on what to do and best places to eat- I will take the latter anytime. Thanks too to Paula.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Lyon. Convenient bus and metro stops with 1min walk, excellent restaurants within walking distance, clean and spacious unit, very friendly and responsive host on site.

Positioned in a great location, with shops, restaurants and the metro on your doorstep, we were able to explore Lyon easily. The apartment is gorgeous and very cleverly designed with a loft. The kitchen and washing machine allowed us to cook and clean as we needed, in a cosy, beautifully decorated environment. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Nothing not to like

The apartment on the ground floor opened to a courtyard. We could sit outside. The apartment was also spacious, modern and well appointed. The location was close to the metro, supermarkets and many restaurants and food options. Very quiet and comfortable. Perfect host Julie attended to any and every need.
