Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMaybe I didn’t read the small print, but I assumed there would be a restaurant for dinner. It’s only breakfast
Absolutely stunning location - lovely bar by the pool and charming staff. A real find.

United StatesIt was remote and was a long, winding road from the nearest store. Swimming pool was small but refreshing.
Lovely historic property with lots of charm. Kind, helpful staff. Lots of places to sit and relax. Charming village with three restaurants, one for each night we were there.

GermanyNOTHING (!) really, except for: The COMMENTES OF (few) GUESTS COMPLAINING for the lack of comfort. We gave 10/10 because the hotel's descritpion clearly states that it's not a modern luxus hotel. Yes, there is no elevator and yes, you feel the compromise between very good comfort level and respecting the historical nature of the building. But for a 3 star the comfort was really really good, we slept greatly with open windows in the silent landscape, and we enjoyed every minute we spent there during the day. Only criticism: the information booklet provided about the history of the building (and of some other such buildings in Corsica) is very interesting. It tells the history of a man who emigrated from that village to Portorico, from where he came back decades later wealthy enough to have such an imposant house built. I missed a honest mention that that wealth was most likely (I'd say certainly, but I have no specific proof) earned by EXPLOITING THE WORK OF SLAVES. While being there we were often thinking of the innumerable men women and children forced to work in Portorico's sugar cane plantages and living in extreme poverty, from whose work we were still indirectly benefiting as guests of this fantastic hotel in Corse, 150 years later. But this is of course no argument against spending time in this great place.
Special atmosphere in a historical building of the mid 19th century). Wonderful garden with swimming pool. Great view on the steep mountains just behind the building and on the hills towards the coast on the front side. Good breakfast. The women at the reception wrre always kind and gave us a good idea for a mountain tour with one of those Corsican wikd rivers where you can bath in the noon heat with nobody around. The position is great, as you can visit the wonderful villages and enjoy the great landscapes of Balagne and easily reach the wodnerful coast in less thab half hour drive.

United KingdomNot the hotels fault, but there are no shops or cafe in the village, so it would be useful to have a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room.
The pool area is lovely. The breakfast is excellent. Rooms large and comfortable. Amazing views and good restaurants nearby.

DenmarkSame breakfast every Day. Beds are quite hard.
All - it looks better than the pictures - if you are looking for a charming hotel in corsica look no further. The Roms are quite Nice but the outside facilities are fantastic - the pool area with garden and deck is the highlight. But the whole House and surroundings just have a fantastic feel. Even a small outside playground. The village has a couple of really Nice restaurants within a 100 meters.

United KingdomWe had a 'misunderstanding' with the manager. I was ill and could not make it down in time for breakfast and when my partner went to cancel it he had thought she said I could come down later for a hot drink and some food. But when I asked if I could have hot milk and a little bread she seemed affronted and told me to go out to the local cafe rudely. My partner queried this and was given a pout and a gallic shoulder shrug. I can only imagine I must have said something offensive in French as I was feeling so ill. We had just had some bad news as well so it felt very distressing when otherwise I might just have laughed. Anyway, the hotel is wonderful and I would still recommend.
The hotel oozes charm and character and is a delight. The grounds are lovely, the pool spotless with good quality loungers, and gardens lush and beautifully planted We loved the location, enough tourism to offer a few good places to eat but also felt authentic, lovely walks nearby

United KingdomDespite being a beautiful building the interior is tired and the property smells musty as well as feeling dusty. The pool area wasn’t particularly well maintained, was also tired and the bar by this wasn’t open. The bathroom didn’t have a shower curtain/screen so the bathroom flooded when this was used. It seems the furniture and interior has been chosen without thought and rather than enhancing the charm of the property it makes it feel mismatched and uncared for. There are various rooms in the ground floor of the property which would be nice if set up as communal lounge areas but currently are a collection of random uncomfortable furniture items. Both the property and service was well below what we’d expect for a 3 star and was of a lesser quality that what we experienced elsewhere in the island. With some investment and improvement this hotel could be really great, unfortunately at present it isn’t that.
Beautiful property with lots of potential (that is unfortunately unrealised)
