Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOur bedroom was quite dark. Possibly because of the painted ceiling which is protected from light?
Fabulous old Manor House lovingly restored by Julienne and Aurélia. They were great hosts, made us feel really at home and helped with bookings, recommendations etc Everything was top quality and thoughtfully done. Lots of original art and books for us to look at

United KingdomWe had a great stay at Manoir de Laroque Delprat. Our hosts Aurelia and Julien did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, telling us about the building itself, recommending a good local restaurant and a great chateau to visit nearby. Breakfast was ample and delicious. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished with a lovely concealed bathroom.

SwitzerlandWe highly recommend this wonderful historical place , well renovated keeping its authenticity. The owners are very kind and helpful, they gladly shared places to visit during our stay, and they took the time to show the most historical spots inside the building and their history. Sauna is great and it has an amazing view on the mountain behind. The manoir is in the middle of one of the most beautiful villages of the area and closed to very beautiful hikes.

United KingdomA stunning conversion of a late medieval manor house, managed with love and enthusiasm by the charming Aurelia and Julian. It's a spectacular and grand property in what is definitely one of the most beautiful villages in the region, and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. All the rooms have stunning features and decoration, either original or appropriate to the period, and Julian is an excellent guide to the history of the building. We had the most delightful stay and thoroughly recommend the manoir to other visitors.

We loved everything about the Manoir. Julian walked us around the grounds and showed us different rooms and the history they all have. The food was perfect, our bed was so comfortable, and the town is extremely charming. We did the hike to the waterfall and viewpoint which I would highly recommend. We would love to come back and visit and soon as possible.

HungaryShould you expect a continental buffet breakfast, you will be disappointed. However, everything provided is really delicious: fruits, jams, fresh croissants and bread, butter, coffee, orange juice, boiled eggs, fresh ‘cheese’ with honey (at least we received these things in June 2024). It’s a ~400 years old manor, so since there is no AC, in hot summer it could be a little problematic as you probably need to open the windows at night (understandably, there are no insect nets on the windows).
The atmosphere, the uniqueness of the manor, the neighborhood, the hospitality, enteriour and decoration of the manor.

United StatesThe bathroom was a bit small, but ok for one night. Breakfast was, basically, just coffee, tea, or juice, poached egg, and bread, but it was nice eating breakfast, with the owners & all the other guest at a long, old, candlelit table in the “big” old, commons room. Nice visiting with everyone over the very light breakfast. I would have like a few more choices at breakfast but it is included (no extra fee) with the room, which doesn’t seem to be very common in France.
Very cool HISTORIC manor in a totally adorable small village. The place oozes with history! We didn’t use the gardens & sauna because it was raining and we were tired but both looked nice. Great area, so many cute villages in that area to explore. The lady that runs was friendly and gave us a nice little tour when we first arrived. Her English was pretty good. She made a dinner reservation for us at a nice (good value for the money) restaurant, in a village about 15 minute drive away. Great meal. Our room has some lovely old art in it. Good, private parking.

United KingdomWe can't recommend this hotel enough. Stunning building, beautiful rooms, lovely garden with swimming pool and friendly dogs, gracious hosts. We stayed there on a Monday and discovered too late that everything in the village was shut on Monday evenings, but then the hostess came home from a foreign trip and went out of her way to cook us an elaborate meal.
