Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReception appeared to be in a serving area with dirty dishes in the sink, dirty linen in the corridor and an air of nobody around attending to the business of running a Logis accomodation
Wonderfully quiet location..just 20 minutes from Arras with owls at the window overlooking a peaceful garden.Comfortable room with tea/cofee/kettle in a beautiful old building

FranceThe fact that it was situated in an industrial area in one side and urban the other was a slight disappointment. Although there was spacious reception rooms there were no bar or restaurant facilities available for guests and appeared more set up to host weddings and corporate events where catering is brought in specially.
The property was very baronial and from the outside looked amazing in its own grounds. The gated parking was relatively secure for motorists and motorcycles. The staff were very pleasant and the room was spacious and clean.

United KingdomThe room smelt odd and unpleasant. We were told this was white vinegar for cleaning. It wasn’t nice. This hotel is in a very small village. It has no restaurant. The village has one bar/tabac and a dying chip shop. The nearest town is Douai and it is pretty in parts but mostly closed with bands of roaming adolescents. We wouldn’t stay at the hotel again. We’d have gladly paid for a bottle of wine and a sandwich or a cold plate had it been offered. Probably an opportunity to consider.
The building is impressive and our bedroom was large with a view of the extensive garden at the back. The bed was comfortable.

United KingdomFirstly couldn't get in as no one around , even though we said about mid evening check in, garden view room, was a large roof covered in ripped plastic sheeting, TV had one channel only , two different cups in room, door lock had obviously been broken at some point, building needs maintenance desperately, what we thought was a lovely building, didn't meet are expectations from the pictures on there site ,
Nice building and grounds, nice big size room , good shower.plenty of parking.

United KingdomI hope my recent experience was unusual. Manoir de Fourcy is billed as a 4 Star but had limited staff availability and no breakfast facilities. Breakfast was some madelaines and galettes on a tray in the room in addition to the usual kettle with tea bags/instant coffee. Nearest restaurant was a 1.5km walk.
Beautiful old manor house with good sized room and private bathroom. Secure, private car park. Good location for exploring the Western Front.

United KingdomFor the price I would expect a sit down breakfast to be provided. The hotel is nice, but there's nothing much within walking distance, not for tourists
The room was clean, breakfast was biscuits on a tray.

United KingdomMajor issue with being put in a recently painted room with strong..possibly slightly toxic fumes. Slept with windows open to try and dispel fumes. Woke up after a bad night with headaches

United KingdomThe lady of the house let us in when we arrived as the front door was locked and that was the last we saw of her! We were informed that there was no breakfast, which in France is no problem as there is always a cafe/bar in the town and also that there was no restaurant. No problem, we found a restaurant nearby.
Very easy to find and within reach of restaurants and town. Lovely renovated old manor house. Our bedroom was on the top floor, but there was no lift so it's a bit of a climb, but nice room and large bathroom. Having looked at the recommendations made by the owner and not been convinced, we checked on line and found the Nicolas, la Suite au Cottage. It was lovely, good food and a lovely atmosphere.
