They say dog friendly but dog not allowed in any food rooms so you have to eat outside (not good if raining) or in your room.

Checking out was a different story. We chose to leave early given we had a long drive ahead. The gentleman checking us out charged me €12 for the dog even though I had an email stating this would be complimentary. He then tried to charge us for 2 bottles of water which we never had and then the small glasses of wine he charged us nigh on €40 for which I was shocked at. I asked for a receipt and to date, still have not received so that tainted our experience with the hotel.

We chose this as a stop off on the way to Spain from the UK as it was pet friendly. It was perfect location and nice to relaxed with a glass of wine after a very long drive Room did smell slightly but in the whole it was what we expected albeit I booked the Orchard Room and that’s not what was provided. Receptionist was lovely.

I booked for my family so I had to get two rooms. My fault as I did not know that there are two buildings and they are separated by a nice walking distance. I have two 9 year olds, not at the age you can leave them walking distance away. So I got one and my wife got the other. I got the traditional room and my wife the other. My fault, I should not have assumed they were together, when I asked at the front desk if we could be all together in the same building they said NO. I was shocked. The lift is typical small, so be aware.

The traditional room was cozy, it had some old traits to it. The bed was fine, the view was the front room and just looked over the parking lot. Internet was fine. Breakfast was average but ok. Beer was great at night. I think this would have been a nicer room if I could have enjoyed it with my wife. Read below. The front desk was nice to recommend a great outdoors place to eat. Glad we went there. Overall I would stay here again. It is a good place has a lot of family stuff to do and I am sure everyone said the golf course is next door.

Swimming pool could open a little earlier to allow guests to swim in the morning before checking out, especially as the breakfast service begins very early!

You could see the rooms were a bit older but in a nice way modernized - pays in the eco-efforts of this hotel 👍

The pool was great and so was the restaurant. They offer toys for kids which is brilliant during breakfast and dinner.

Very little to fault really. Perhaps the bathrooms could be updated to a more modern style but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the present arrangements. They just look a little tired.

What a really good hotel providing an excellent stop-over on a trip from Uk to Spain. This year we decided to only use the National Routes and our stay provided a relaxed ending to a long but enjoyable day. We booked the restaurant and enjoyed an excellent meal on the terrace sitting with our small dog and enjoying a fine bottle of local estate wine. On such a beautiful evening the terrace was full and with the attentive service complementing the fine cuisine the convivial buzz of conversation, coupled with the elegant architecture of the Chateaux, combined to make it a perfect meal. Following a walk through the grounds we slept well in a room of fine proportions and calm decor. Refreshed we enjoyed a very good buffet breakfast on a shady terrace and again had opportunity to see the extent of the spa and its neighbouring golf course. Time did not allow for us to try any spa treatments but I do not doubt that they also would have been very good.

Fabulous place to stop when travelling especially with pets in the Orchard room. It is our go to stop over the last 4 years. Food in the restaurant is very good and breaakfastaa well. Have not had opporunity to try the spa.

The room was very comfortable and the balcony much appreciated, we sat out before dinner, after dinner with the rest of our wine bottle as well as in the morning. The gentleman on reception in the morning took a lot of time to talk to my husband about the history of the trees on site which made him feel very happy. The staff in the bar, restaraunt and at breakfast were friendly and attendant despite our lack of french Overall an excellent place to stay

The rooms are clean, but very tired. There was a blanket on the sofa bed that I thought was older than me.

Very friendly staff - they kept the pool open later so that my daughter could have a swim + arranged for milk for her. There was a nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant

Breakfast was ok. But the staff didn’t attend the facilities well enough so they ran out of plates, milk. Also it was a lovely sunny morning and breakfast was only set up inside but we, as did every other guest, wanted to eat outside so we had to take everything outside ourselves. The hotel should have set up the tables outside for breakfast. I also think the grounds needs some extra care and tidying - weeding, pruning, grass cutting

The whole place is a little tired and is in need of a bit of care, with not much effort this place could be superb, weeds on the balcony tired paint on the walls broken curtain rails etc nothing that really affected our stay but for the price I expected better. We knew that as we were staying on a Sunday the restaurant wasn’t open, but neither was the bar and in the sweltering summer heat we couldn’t even get any drinks or ice. I certainly would not stay here again

The only disappointment was that there was a smell, like drainage ? probably from the Bathroom The Bathroom is a little "tired"

The hotel grew on us! Yes it could do with a revamp but wonderful bright room with two windows overlooking the golf course and the meal to celebrate my birthday was outstanding
