How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing to not like; it is located on a quiet side street
Lovely stay where we had 2 rooms; we had the largest room with large double bed, space and quiet a/c (we stayed in early Aug over a heatwave) and a modern bathroom with easy to use walk-in shower and a separate sitting-room/ TV room; a lovely breakfast with homemade (granola, light fruit salad) or fresh produce (bread, pastries) and good coffee. There is secure/gated parking for the cars and a comfortable shaded seating area outside. It is about 10-15 min walk to downtown area. The hostess especially and the host were charming and very welcoming.

The bed was really comfy and the room was cozy, nice and so clean! The whole accommodation was really nicely furnished. For breakfast, there could have been more things which weren't sweet, but I guess that is how the French eat their breakfast. But they even baked us a gluten-free cake, which was great! You can park your car in the fenced yard. The surroundings are quiet apart from the occasional train, but that didn't disturb us at all.

The only minor drawback of the location is that most restaurants are near the city center, therefore a 15-20 minute walk away.
Frederic was a most excellent host - friendly, charming, always offering help. The restauration of the property has been done with great skill and care, including all modern amenities but retaining the charm. The decor is very pleasing and calm, perfect to the last detail. The breakfast buffet offered plentiful options and everything was delicious. Don't miss trying the gateau maison!! For us it was a convenient location, with relatively easy approach by car but still within easy walking distance from the center. We were lucky to be given the 2-room suite. Next time I will gladly pay extra to get it.

The exterior of the property is unassuming and belies the little haven situated behind the gates. Beautiful room with lovely comfy beds. Decorated with real style and great taste. The breakfast was fab with homemade granola and brioche loaf. The attention to detail was exceptional. Be prepared for a 15-20 minute walk into town which we appreciated, though, after a day in the car.

Plastic mattress protector made the night hot and uncomfortable, especially as the air-conditioning was not working.

Great host, house was very spacious and so was the room. Superb breakfast with lots of options. House is right in the heart of Vichy with restaurants all in walking distance. We will definitely be back!

Very stylish, good-sized room with excellent modern ensuite shower. Our host Frederic could not have been more helpful with welcome drinks in the garden and restaurant recommendations. The property has very good secure off road parking and is within walking distance of all Vichy sights.
