Entrance to property needs to be careful close to side road. when we arrived there was nobody on sight. But they did arrive shortly after us to let us in and show us to our room.

A quite location on the edge of Boulogne close to the motorway. Large rooms very comfortable bed and two sinks in the bathroom. Breakfast very good.

We liked the beautiful house, the rooms were spacious and clean with great facilities. The en-suite bathroom with shower was super and well equipped. Parking was free, secure and easy. The grounds were gorgeous with peacocks to great you in the morning. The breakfast was well worth it and the hosts were super helpful and friendly. We will definitely return.

The only slight issue we had was trying to keep our bedroom cool as we had incredible weather and we found the aircon unit struggled to keep up, so we ended up with the shutters closed most of the time. Having said that, it was a great excuse to head out into the gardens and drink wine, eat cheese and read a good book amongst the peacocks, so it wasn't really a negative in the end!

Maison Grandsire was everything we wanted and more for our mini-moon. Only 30 minutes drive from the LeShuttle terminal in Calais, in a beautiful quiet spot surrounded by delightful grounds and with a fantastic continental breakfast every morning with local cheese and bread. Nick and Laurence were fantastic hosts, both very personable, and give the place a welcoming and homely feel.

The properly was peaceful and lovely and the peacocks strolling around the property were lovely. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was quite tasty.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Grandsire Chambres D'Hôtes. The location is perfect, very close to all the attractions in Côte d'Opale. The hosts were very welcoming, and we truly felt like we were visiting family. Our room was perfect, with a very comfortable bed, an amazing bathtub, and a view of the garden with peacocks.

The Maison Grandsire ic located 30 minutes from the Eurotunnel exit and close to the A16. Although on the outskirts of Boulogne, it is in a delightful wooded rural location. An old Baronial home, it is beautifully decorated. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and the breakfast excellent. Our hostess was charming and facilitated a late arrival. . We shall certainly visit again .

The internet was a bit patchy at times and a bit slow but that can be a common issue in French country areas especially in a building with very thick walls. Nick advised that fibre is coming. You will need a car to stay here as restaurants are in the old town which is about 3.5 km away. However, we had full access to the kitchen and its microwave and oven and a large supermarket is 4 minutes drive away.

This is a beautifully-renovated and decorated mansion with 5 large and comfortable rooms on two separate floors. It would be very difficult to find better hosts and we felt like family during our stay. Parking is right near the entrance and free. The bed was large and very comfortable and for once a single cozy duvet and not two small separate duvets (my pet hate). The room heating was excellent and easy to manage. Bathrooms are large and very functional with a very good shower, double hand basins and lots of space for my extensive range of toiletries. The property is in a quiet location with very nice and well-maintained grounds which include the resident peacocks. We had a travel blog to write during our stay and on a wet winter's day we had free access to set up in the dining area with lovely views over the gardens while watching the rain. Very cozy. Breakfast is very good and we were given options for a customised breakfast.
