How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only small thing that could have been better would be a walk-in shower, rather than shower in bath. But this certainly didn't detract from the overall positive experience.
A wonderful find. Beautiful room, and wonderful aesthetic throughout. Superb location. And incredibly helpful and friendly service, both prior to arrival through to our final departure. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect.
A really chic comfortable hotel perfectly located in the heart of Aix en Provence. The host was so helpful, providing us with walking maps to get the most out of our visit, we were attending the Cezanne exhibition. They went above and beyond, buying special gluten free bread from a local artisan bakery for my husband’s breakfast, which was also delicious.

Instead of a curtain, a glass wall would be more practical in the shower. We also found the steel staircase in the apartment a bit dangerous, as it has sharp edges and corners.
The location is perfect, in a calm area but close to everything. Everyone was super helpful and kind and we also loved the design inspired theme. Our appartment was spacious and light with cool furniture and light pieces.

I wish it had an elevator, but stuff were very willing to help carry luggage upstairs

Our pop art suite was enormous. We received a very warm welcome from Lilou who gave us numerous restaurant recommendations. There were lovely touches such as the drinks in reception & good tea/ coffee in the room. Our room was very quiet & the bed was comfortable. We loved the location - perfect for Saturday morning market visits & wandering through the old town. We did not eat breakfast. Parking was easy at the nearby underground car park which is a 5 min walk away.

People in room above were noisy when they came in during the night. Sounded like they were moving furniture.

The staff at Maison Du Collectionneur went above and beyond to make our stay with them very comfortable. The room was great (we loved how it was decorated!). The breakfasts were very good and the location excellent. Would definately recommend!

A bit pricey.

Breakfast not included (and the charges for simple breakfast are very high)
The team the that run the place was very helpful. They carry our suitcases all the way up to the second floor on the check in and back down at check out. They made sure that everything we need is taken care off immediately (including information and reservation). The room itself is large with everything we needed. It was very clean and very comfortable. Location of the place is perfect - In addition to being close to downtown, you can just walk for a couple of minutes and find great bakery

Great location, really spacious room with a beautiful Juliet balcony overlooking private gardens. Silvio and the team are super friendly and offer personal guidance if you need it. Beautifully decorated but the space and light is the real highlight here. Lovely.

Perfect location in the old part of town but off the main path and very quiet. Beautiful, small hotel built in the 17 th century and thoughtfully updated. The staff was unbelievable, every one of them delightful and accommodating. We felt like we were staying in the home of friends. Wonderful made to order breakfast. So comfortable- we could not have asked for more.

We had a room with a bath, I would book one with a shower next time.
