How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Having to wait until 18h00 to check in. Quite a climb to the bedroom on 3rd floor. The weather was very warm, but the fan which was supplied was inadequate and very noisy. Breakfast was disappointing.
Good position in town centre. Very enjoyable evening meal in their restaurant. Waiter was great with a good sense of humour

Bathroom water drained very slowly in shower.
Room was good. Bathroom was a little bit tatty. Restaurant was great. Staff were great. A safe place to put our electric bikes. Convenient situation.

Excellent service and welcome. Secure lock up for our bikes. We ate in the restaurant which was also very good.

The room is rather small and the hotel part could be spruced up. When we left in the morning, it was difficult to pay. The lady who was left on her on own in charge, could not manage with the credit card terminal and I ended up doing it myself.
It's in the town centre. The restaurant section has a nice atmosphere and the cassoulet is very good!

For a 1*, it’s fine.
Perfectly acceptable stopover for a night. Central location, easy parking outside, good restaurant. But very thin walls, and small room. Good value.

Toilet did not flush, bathroom was dirty and in disrepair. Bicycle storage was in a basement with stairs, we had to push the bikes up a steep ramp to get them the following day.

Hotel was old bit uncared for but was one night so we could eat at the restaurant
The hotel is very dated and tired. Restaurant was great food and staff were helpful. Good breakfast

Check in not allowed before 1800. Staff late so check in delayed. Charged for breakfast but breakfast not available due to breakdown in staff communication.

Check in advertised at 6pm - staff did not arrive until 20 minutes later - guests left outside property - no apology. Difficult steps to the room. Room very small and in poor condition - no fan available so unbearable in the current hot temperatures. Noise of kitchen extractors loud and emitting food cooking smells when windows open. Toilet so small that my husband could not sit down and shut the door and shower had heavy mould between tiles. We wanted to move to another hotel as soon as we saw the room but it was now 6.30 pm in August so really not viable. It was hardly possible to sleep in heat but as not disturb other guests we waited until 7am to leave the hotel - we needn’t have worried as the guests in the room next to us left at the same time also with no sleep. I looked for a member of staff as we left but did not find anyone. By far the worst hotel I have experienced.
The restaurant belonging to the hotel was a different standard to the hotel.

The room was very tired, walls scuffed and marked, shower room needs lots of attention, redoing really, air con would be good, but not expected at the current price. Beds were comfy.
Dinner, very good, breakfast basic, staff, very good.

room was " smelly " and i didn`t fit in the shower, bed was on the floor ( 20cm from floor) and room was hot. Also climing to room was an exersice with heavy luggage. Staff didn`t gave a proper instructions how to get into room, only after more asking, also internet need to ask again in the desk etc etc.... Should be hired somebody professional on reception, that knows excatly what and how infromation should be given. staff was friendly, but no hotel workers...
location was superb, also staff speak english a quite good

The entire experience. Old, not very clean (accept for the linen - they were spotless). Staff being rude.

We found the room very noisy, not helped by the toilet cistern continually running water. No hairdryer or facility to borrow one.
The location was very good for the town and the room clean.
