Breakfast was good save for the pastries which were poor (unforgivable given we are in France)

Loved the renovation, decoration and finishings . Bold and modern. Great lighting. Rooms were generous, bathrooms luxurious. Beds very comfortable. Liked being able to open windows and having super quiet Dyson fans as optional extras rather than aircon.

The breakfast could have perhaps been more varied but it was perfectly fine for the length of our stay.

The location was great and the property is gorgeous (courtyard, water lily pond, etc.). We visited on a very hot weekend and so the fan in the room was very welcome (there was no aircon) as was the option to go and sit in the hotel lounge (given there was no separate seating area in the room itself). On a slightly cooler day, the outside seats in the courtyard would have been lovely!

Great hotel in the middle of Montreuil, friendly staff and all very modern and clean. Little courtyard area where you can sit and an easy stroll to the many restaurant options.

Our fan didn't work properly and we were told it would be looked at but it didn't happen. It was very hot that weekend. We only had enough tea/coffee provided for one person. These issues were not deal breakers though as they were very minor. We had a lovely stay.

The breakfast was average, The mirror in the bathroom was not only too high but too faraway to shave in which means lower it or put in a shaving mirror :))

Breakfast first morning was very good, plenty of coffee, juice and fresh bread/pastries. Second morning coffee had run out, juices were not replenished and the bread and pastries tasted as if they were from the previous day. 16€ each!

Loved the beautiful old building and interiors. It was very quiet yet very close to the centre of town. Staff friendly and very helpful. Lovely relaxing outdoor courtyard to sit and chill with a book.

There is no lift which might be a challenge for some, especially if on the second floor.

We would rate the Hotel Loysel le Gaucher as very good. We found it comfortable and well appointed. The building is elegant and in a quiet location yet within a few minutes walk of the town centre. and city ramparts. There is free, adjacent on-street parking. The staff were charming and helpful. We have visited Montreuil many times over the years and this is the first time we have stayed at Hotel Loysel le Gaucher - will certainly stay there again and are very happy to recommend it to other travellers.

Not a lot really albeit there was no private parking there were plenty of free on street parking close by. If I was going to be critical it would have been nice to see some cheese or cold meat at breakfast!
