We didn’t have breakfast - the location was lovely and walkable to old Carcassonne through le Bastid Area which was really lovely too - the hotel was full of character and we loved our room

The location was a long walk from the train station, about 20 minutes and the streets were poorly lit and uneven at 10 pm. The breakfast was basic, pastries were not fresh, we would have liked a more varied breakfast.

We visited Carcassonne to see the ancient walled city. The hotel was in a reasonable location and met all our needs with a room of generous proportions. The staff were very helpful recommending a suitable restaurant for our evening meal. Breakfast was in a small room nicely decorated and with a video about the history and the local area, a nice change from the sometimes depressing news that is often shown. The hotel itself was around a 10 minute walk to the modern town centre where our restaurant was and a further 10 minutes got us to the old bridge across the Aude to the ancient city.

Nothing to complain about. As an option for improvement, I think a rearrangement of the decor could make the beautiful house look even better.

A good option with an adjusted price in a beautiful 19th century house very well preserved with all its charm. The setting is quiet, easily accessible by car, and within walking distance of a pleasant stroll to the main square of La Bastide. Pleasant and very polite staff.

The location did not seem great, but I think the layout of the town makes it difficult to have a very good location (close to train station, restaurants and the old city; this location does not meet any of these very well). I do think most people visit Carcassonne by car, which we did not.

The staff (family) at this hotel were very good and helpful. The room, breakfast and location of this hotel were acceptable, but not notable. The room did have good lighting, which we appreciate.

The parking area was very tight. Trying to fit too many vehicles in a very small space!

A very traditional hotel, well placed to explore the town, very friendly and helpful staff. It was once a large and very grand house so space in some areas is a little tight but overall it suited our requirements well.

This was a very quaint and comfortable hotel. I really loved the special service including bringing coffee and wine to my room. Breakfast was very nice. I would defiantly come back.

The property is a charming 19th century building near to the town centre and within 15 - 20 minutes walk of the old citadel. The decor in the property perfectly suit its style and period and the service was extremely good and helpful. We would certainly use this hotel again.

The air conditioning unit was slightly noisy, but it was.bearable.

The Hotel had a nice old-fashioned feel about it, the staff were welcoming on arrival. The car park was secure, which was good. The bed was comfortable, and the room was a fair size. The hotel is located not too far away from local restaurants.

Breakfast. Not great. I know it was a Monday morning, but I would have liked fresh croissants etc. clearly from the previous day. Pity as it is a lovely hotel.
