Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe stayed during a particularly hot spell and, sadly, the accommodation was not equipped with air conditioning, so our room was sweltering. There was a fan, which was better than nothing - but AC would have been very welcome.
We had dinner and breakfast. Both were good but dinner was very impressive. We were surprised that the menu was as varied and the food was very well cooked and presented. The waiting staff, who was also the receptionist, was very pleasant - and the service in the restaurant was good.

United KingdomThe bedroom was desperately in need of a revamp. Room extremely basic like a 1950s hostel. Bathroom funtional but basic. A fat person would struggle to get into the bath & out onto about 12" of floor. Carpet looked dirty & decor ghastly.
The location was ok, although on the main road which we knew, so noise was acceptable. Linen was clean.

United KingdomThe breakfast was very poor and overpriced. Bread which when toasted was like cardboard. Croissants were almost inedible. The member of staff could not have been less interested in providing service. The bedroom was horrible, it was depressing. The carpet was unpleasant.
