Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt really needs a deep clean and the wifi is very patchy in the rooms. Breakfast was nice but basic.
The location was amazing! The property has a beautiful garden, the house is charming and has lots of character.

AustraliaIt was a bit of a chore climbing the cobbled street to the accommodation from the carpark but the spaciousness of the bedrooms and bathrooms made up for that.
Quaint old accommodation in an historic area near the Port. Good directions to get to the property and drop off our travelling group. Parking is about 700m away in a public park at the port. It's free overnight. The french breakfast was plentiful with good coffee and provision made for extra coffee thru the day if desired. Many restaurants nearby at the port for dining.

Quirky house, fantastic location by the river. Pleasant owners. A real step back in time on the Jerzual steep street. Fantastic views from the bedroom. It rained heavily for 2 days, so it was nice to have a home from home feel to chill out in. Would recommend and would probably stay again as will definitely be back to kayak up the La Rance! Thanks for a great stay.

United StatesNothing to not like but guests should know the property is tricky to get to by car (ancient narrow street) and parking is 3 blocks away. Also the street is very steep and there’s no elevator. Elderly travellers or anyone with difficulty ambulating might find access difficult
This is a unique property along an ancient cobbled street. The rooms are furnished with local/ family pieces and are very individual (and very clean). You can easily walk from there to the river or in the opposite direction to downtown. Breakfast was good and staff (family owned) friendly and helpful

This is an antique-filled gorgeous B&B with beautiful antique furniture and historical household items from the past. The bedroom was huge. It was very clean, and the bed gave me the best night's sleep of our entire touring holiday! Dinan is a proper picture postcard location. However you do need to be physically agile to access this little gem due to very steep cobbled streets and lots of steps.

AustraliaThe property was a little dusty.
The property was in a great location on the picturesque Rue de Jerzual. The house was quaint with interesting curios. The breakfast was delicious. Guilliaume was very welcoming. He gave directions for parking, carried our bags & gave us information about the facilities.

AustraliaWhilst this property was charming, the furnishings were a little tired. The couch & cushions were worn. The bathroom was basic with small & thin towels. There was no face cloth or soap. The doona was too hot for Summer. A sheet & blanket would be preferable. The shelves & bedside tables in the bedroom & the display cabinets & curios were dusty.
Logis Du Jerzual is a quaint medieval stone house set along a steep cobblestoned street. Access is via a ramp, steps & through a private garden. Guilliaume greeted us & helped to carry our bags up the steep staircase to our room. He gave us information about our stay & showed us a little area where we could make tea or coffee. Guilliaumes’ English was very good. The spacious bedroom was decorated in keeping with the medieval period. The sloping floor was quirky but not uncomfortable. The now modern bathroom was roomy. The house had many interesting curios displayed on cabinets, dressers & walls. There was a bookcase with reading material & maps. A fresh continental breakfast was included & set out each morning in a room overlooking a garden. On sunny morning’s breakfast can be served outside.

So sweet and quaint. Very quirky. We loved this little B and B. Loved the large garden where you could sit in the shade. The view from the two windows was superb. It certainly is not your 5 star shiny hotel but is just so full of character from every aspect. The location was perfect. Breakfast was very good.

United KingdomAs it was in a pedestrianised area the building was difficult to find. Google maps took us to the wall at the end of the garden but, you can't get in that way. If you follow the written instructions from the owners you will find it. Be bold and ignore the no entry sign.
The hotel was in a lovely old building in one of the old streets of Dinan close to the port area. It was very picturesque, a very quirky building beautifully decorated and with a lovely garden. We enjoyed the breakfast very much.

United KingdomHard to find initially and car parking was at some distance. We appreciated the direction. Otherwise the location was superb, being very close to the port and its attractions and in a significant historic area.
Breakfast was excellent- delicious fresh croissants, pain au raisin, excellent coffee with hot milk. A wide offering of fruits, yogurts and cereals was available. We particularly enjoyed the quirky and enchanting building. Our double aspect room was tastefully arranged - a delight.
