Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the street so there was some street noise. Last year we had a room at the side so there was very little street noise and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace reading. But otherwise we found the hotel very comfortable this year too.
Comfortable hotel in a good location with friendly and efficient staff. Spacious room and good sized bed with quality pillows and bedding.

The only thing was that the water in both the pool and jacuzzi could have been a bit warmer. Apart from that, nothing else!
Really fantastic breakfast! Very comfortable room, lovely staff and well located (ideal for those who want to ski).

If your room windows face the street, it could be quite noisy, especially in the summer when you want to open the windows.
Nice little hotel. Rooms are comfy, spa area is small but pleasant when not too busy. The rooms are spacious and comfy.

Comfortable hotel with very pleasant, friendly and efficient staff. Good sized room with a very nice terrace and a view over the village and mountains. Well situated near the centre of the village but quiet at night.

The hotel is very well situated, in the center and next to all facilities. SPA is clean, not so big but good enough for relax after a day of hiking. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was good as well as coffee. Parking is nearby.

Cosy , comfortable and excellent facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough, they even dried our soaked jackets! Breakfast was lovely.. continental plus added eggs and bacon that set you up for the day. Our room was spacious for three , had comfortable beds, a large balcony and plenty of cupboard space.

Hamam not working.
Location in center of village and 200 meters from ski lifts. Kindness of staf. Swimming pool. Large room with the kids.

Only a very small point - the steam room wasn't available (though the sauna was)
Restaurant, rooms, staff, pool all great. Claude a wonderful host and his great team made us feel very welcome and looked after at all times'.

No shower curtain or screen to the bath, water goes everywhere in bathroom. window to bedroom not sealed, cold at night and very noisy from local bar / club until 4-5am, poor mattresses comfort. No restaurant or lounge area. poor customer service / daily greeting by persons on reception. Breakfast - selection limited, not enough options Boot room lockers - not warm enough to dry ski boots, which remain damp in the mornings, needs improved heating

The room was not done well all the time. Also towels and floors could have been changed and cleaned more.

The hotel closes at 8pm so it felt very ‘closed’ when returning at night. There was one lady (with black hair) who was smiley and friendly but the other staff were not especially friendly. There wasn’t a proper stand up shower in the room we had, just a shower head in the bath.
The hotel is well located in the centre of La Clusaz, which is a very nice place. There is parking nearby (free in summer) It was nice to have a pool although it was slightly dated. Breakfast was nice. It was basically decent but could have been a lot nicer with a bit of effort (cushions on outdoor furniture etc), staff saying hello.

WiFi only worked in the reception area.
