Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel was very easy to find, close to the motorway and there was plenty of parking. We had a quick stop just to sleep and a pleasant stay. The staff at the reception was very helpful.

United KingdomSeparate toilet and bath, do not prefer it at all. Not at all convenient. On our 1st day, in the evening, children were playing Uno in the lobby, one of the staff was quite rude to them. They were not very loud but he kept on complaining to them directly not to us that they were being loud, which they werent. After few times, I had to tell him off as he was being unreasonable and quite rude. But he stopped after that.
Room size was adequate for our family of 4 (2 children 7 & 1). Well equipped, comfortable bed, even had a little fridge which I didnt expect. Hotel Lobby had lots of areas for having chitchat with friends, had games for the children, our boys loved playing them. Had a cozy separate seating area with large tv. Really impressed with this arrangement. Breakfast menu was pretty good, quite a lot of options. Parking on site was free and had quite a lot of space. Staff- All the staffs were really nice and helpful. My son left his Samsung tablet on the lobby by mistake and we were out the whole day. after returning to the hotel, we realised it was missing. But luckily one of the staff spotted it and stored it safely with them and we found it. Very very helpful staff. Also, my child became sick and threw up the night before we left, even though we cleaned it but still informed at the reception. They were very caring about it and reassured us that it was not a big deal. Location- only about over an hour from Calais port, 1hr from Ghent, has a McD just next to it, petrol station only few mins drive. Also, there was a halal chinese buffet about 3mins drive called Royal D'Asia. We loved their food.

It was close to the airport, and you had a big lobby with lots of space to stay in and wait for your plane.

NetherlandsNothing much. Could add a playground for kids?
Decent hotel with nice lobby (great nooks, crannies and entertainment) , swimmingpool, and comfy rooms. Nice that they have 4 person rooms for families. The outside and the area are a bit 'run down' and 'industrial'. So not for visiting the town. But location is great as a stop over with a car. The multiple craft beer restaurant/bars in walking distance are a great bonus.

NetherlandsNo complaints the hotel was perfect for a short city trip
Nice room (family room) with comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Facilities were nice, had a soccer table and a corner where you can play board games and a gaming computer with old console games which me and the kids enjoyed the most :-) Breakfast was good no complaints. Close to the highway so you can get to the city centre quit quickly.

United KingdomUnfortunately, breakfast was extremely disappointing. The breakfast bar was messy and dirty. A previous guest may have left a half-eaten piece of fruit on a tissue near the bread area. The fridge was broken, which caused the yogurt to curdle. Sadly, my husband ate some before realizing it had gone bad. The boiling egg machine wasn’t plugged in properly, so when we set our timer, the egg was still raw. The scrambled eggs were empty, the bacon was dried out, and only a few sausages were left. Bread area was pretty empty too, I would suggest to always refill. Even the cheese had melted, which makes me think there was an electrical problem. The staff was not very attentive, which meant I had to go to reception for them to handle the situation.
Convenient location before heading back to UK from Calais with the family.
