Did not need A/C as stayed in Sept; not sure if the breeze from this beachfront property would be enough in the hot summer.

Beautiful location & great restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Staff are welcoming and helpful.

Good breakfast but dinner was a little bland. If you are a meat lover, don't bother eating here as they only serve fish or vegetarian, by choice.

This is a charming and small-scale place on a lovely stretch of beach in Hyères. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Our room was small (with a separate private bathroom) but the gorgeous view of the sea more than compensated for the lack of much space. The emphasis is on simplicity and authenticity. No frills but oozing with charm.

It has the Charme of the depicted hotel in the Mama Mia movie - in essence it has the character of a none commercial standard hotel! The alternative way to spend a night with the just required comfort and absence of modern technology gimmicks but it has WLAN !

Our room was great, but some rooms don’t have showers. So be careful when reserve. Their sea wall collapsed after the storm. There was a construction going on during aday.

Nice small hotel not part of a chain right on the beach. Staff is very friendly, front desk people speak English. Great restaurant with the view of the sea, great food. They only served fish dishes at least when we were there. There is a nice beach but we did not get to use it since we were there in April. Free parking on the street but feels up quickly. Overall, very good experience.

We read about this hotel in an article by the late Jeremy Clarke in the Spectator. We found it just as he had described - a traditional hotel, with quirky decor, laid back atmosphere and boho vibes. Great location, on the beach, walking distance to marina in one direction and local village in the other. Excellent service. Easy check-in / check-out. Large, stylish, well-appointed room. Convenient (10 mins) from Toulon-Hyeres Airport. Free on-street parking directly outside hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are planning a repeat visit.

Ideally our room could have been air conditioned but a central fan did suffice.

The location was fabulous, right on the beach. The restaurant was particularly good with a selection of fresh seafoods (no pizza and chips here!) Our room (No. 10) was to the side of the building with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. This we felt was better than a front room which might be overlooked from the beach. The decor of the hotel seemed entirely appropriate to it's surroundings and was extremely pleasing. The staff were generally very good and charming. Our stay was for 3 days, we will return for a longer stay next year.

Not a lot really, it was pretty hot when we stayed and aircon would have been nice, albeit we did have a roof fan which helps.

What a find. We stayed for 3 nights on our way to Nice from Marseille and wish we'd booked extra nights. The location is to die for, literally we left our room and stepped onto the beach. The restaurant also overlooks the beach and the food and attentive staff were great. It's also just a 10 stroll either way on the beach to local bars and restaurants.

Very busy and despite being lucky to get a parking spot I could see this being a problem on occasions.

Couldn't get a location closer to the beach , very bohemian feel about the hotel.

We selected a room with beach access, which was great but the curtains were very thin and see through at night. Given that there were still guests in the restaurant, made us feel like we didn’t have a lot of privacy. Key to lock rooms was a little tricky so it would have been helpful to get instructions. Otherwise, great!

Great location. Beach access and restaurant are huge bonuses. The hotel also has a fun personality.

I think we were above the kitchen and the fan was humming all the time

Quirky, with a great boho vibe. Lovely location on the beach with good restaurant. Walkable to the lively marina where there are a few shops, bars and restaurants. A ten minute drive to the old town and to the port from where you can take a boat to the isle of Porquerolles. Not a modern hotel but clean and well run.

We needed fresh towels after a day out exploring and there was nobody around reception until late that night 10pm to provide us. Could understand why but still if its marketed as a hotel should have someone around even if you only have a few guests. Eggs was mentioned on our arrival as a breakfast option by reception staff but told "kitchen closed" when asked next day for same. Small things but definetly room for improvement for the price you are paying to stay in a hotel.

A foot bath to get sand off feet when entering the hotel from the beach would have been useful.

We booked a family room in mid August, but it was stiflingly hot and smelly too. No effort had been made to put incense or perfume to counteract the smell of plumbing or nearby stagnant water. The overhead fan was sluggish and one other table fan was insufficient for four of us. There was a fridge in the room and chilled water during a heat wave would have been an idea. The linens were tasteful and of good quality but everything felt a bit tired. Moreover the balcony and the room in general felt uncared for and not very clean. Overall for the price it really wasn’t great. In addition a proper door on the bathroom and shower would have been better and more comfortable for a group room.

Very friendly and very helpful staff, overall stylish feel, food was good and coffee in the morning good value. All this really made up for an incredibly uncomfortable night because of the extreme heat and foul smell. Beach towels and lounge area overlooking the sea. Reasonably priced drinks and food. Relaxed vibe (a bit bobo but that’s okay).

It was tatty. More shabby than chic. The bedroom was next to the restaurant with a window covered by a thin curtain and the exterior loo was next to our room as well. The bedroom was hot, with no ventilation and a fan that made no difference to the temperature of the room.

The location. The view of the bay was beautiful.

Didn't stay long enough

It is just paradise here. The location is fantastic, the ambiance superlative and the food amazing. This was our second visit and we will be back. This time we remembered to book the Sunday brunch well in advance and it exceeded all expectations. No need to go all the way to the Caribbean and the food is way better
