Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We had a wonderful stay at Les Séraphines. The host was excellent, providing tailored advice that really improved our trip. Breakfast was great, with fresh baked goods from a local bakery, and the host even arranged something early for us before our departure. The room and shared spaces were clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

GermanyWe had the room on the 2nd floor, which was very large, but it did show some signs of wear.
The bed and breakfast is not far from the city center in a quiet side street. The breakfast is simple, typically French, but with very high-quality products. We had the room on the 2nd floor, which was very large and comfortable.

LatviaThe location is great – convenient and close to everything we needed. But what truly stood out was the host’s attitude – incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring about our experience. He gave us great recommendations and made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the mornings started with delicious homemade breakfasts prepared by the host himself. We especially appreciated the warm, personal approach – it made our stay truly memorable. We give the highest rating and wholeheartedly recommend this place to others!

A beautiful property in a fantastic location, 4 mins walk from the tram stop, and easy walking distance to the historic city centre. Guillaume is such a good and gracious host, he provided us with really helpful and relevant information about the city, and made a fantastic fresh breakfast. The room was spacious and comfortable, and we were able to keep it all day on the day of our check-out as we had a late flight. Highly recommended.

United KingdomGuest house was lovely, very hospitable, felt like a home from home. Breakfast was great, rustic bread, fresh pastry and a wide selection of quality jams. Host was friendly and informative, good level of communication throughout. Told us about the local area and we ended up going to a few of his recommendations, which were all excellent. The guest house is about a 2min walk from the tram stop (which goes directly to the airport, so very convenient). All in all a lovely stay and I would happily recommend. I'm not surprised that it is regularly booked out, so if it's available it's a great place to stay.

FranceAbsolutely nothing.
Everything about Les Séraphines was superb. Guillaume was the perfect host. Attentive and genuinely interested in ensuring our stay was a perfect as it could be. He prepared a wonderful, healthy breakfast which set us up for the day. This beautiful dressed stone terrace house has been totally renovated to an extremely high standard and in a very tasteful style. The location is in a quiet street a few minutes walk to the tram and bus stop. A 10 minute ride and you are in the centre of bustling Bordeaux. Just perfect.

United KingdomI took my grown-up daughter to stay in this perfect little town house in the centre of Bordeaux and found it be a perfect bolt hole for a city break in this fantastic city. Guillaume is a lovely host, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. We discovered many hidden gems we would otherwise have missed thanks to him. I can imagine returning with my husband and will definitely rebook Les Séraphines.

FranceThere was absolutely nothing we didn’t like about our stay! Everything exceeded our expectations, from the warm hospitality to the pristine rooms and delicious breakfast. Allez une critique de français, la brioche est bonne le lundi matin, mais ça manque de Baguettes 🥖
Our stay at Les Séraphines was unforgettable! The location is perfect—tucked away on a peaceful street yet just a 15-minute walk from the city center and close to the tram. The hospitality was outstanding—Guillaume and his team made us feel so welcome, providing personalized recommendations and daily tips that enhanced our trip. The room was cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with homemade muesli, fresh fruit, bread, and pastries served with so much care. The attention to detail and personal touches truly set Les Séraphines apart.

United StatesI loved absolutely everything about the hotel. Nothing was a bother.
Guillaume was so considerate and very attentive to my stay. I was staying somewhere that was not very well and I was grateful to come here. I was able to arrive earlier and was very accommodating. When I did arrive, he greeted me and showed me everything in the common space where breakfast is served. He even gave me a map of Bordeaux and explained all the areas and where to visit. Which was very helpful since I never come super prepared to a city and research everything on the go! He also ensured my room was clean and checked ever when I was checking in. I loved how clean the property was. I have pretty bad allergies to dust and my asthma acts up and this hotel did not cause any issues. The breakfast was so nice. It was coffee, croissants (amazing), granola and yogurt, fruit salad and juice. Many jams and butters with bread. The bread was so good. Guillaume was so kind to ask me what kind of croissant I wanted for the next day. I told him to surprise me and he got me a chocolate croissant. I also was able to check out late and he was able to accommodate me which was very nice. The location is great as well everything is close by. I also love the website that has all the details for your stay. I went and tried a few restaurants that he recommends as well as the pharmacy he mentions. Overall he takes really good care. I would highly recommend staying here if you would like a hassle free stay. Bordeaux was even more beautiful after staying here. I also spent lots of time in the common room reading at night and drinking tea. I will gladly go back and only stay here!

United StatesIt wasn’t much of a problem for me since I only had a small carryon, but there is no elevator and most of the rooms are on the third and fourth floors, up a narrow staircase. Hence, those with a larger suitcase and/or have mobility issues may need to keep this in mind, especially if no staff is on the premise to help when you arrive.
The proprietor, Guillaume, and his staff were extremely responsive and helpful before and during the stay. The room was spartan but clean and met my needs. The location was a bit far from the center but a tram stop was nearby. I bought a Bordeaux Pass that included unlimited use of public transportation which helped to get to the key sights.

This is a small property which has been adapted into a guest house. The room was of good size and decoration. The communal room for breakfast likewise. The propoerty is situated in a quiet street with good access to the centre of Bordeaux by foot. Our host was very helpful in recommending and arranging places to eat and visit. I would happily stay at this property again and would recommend to friends should they be visiting Bordeaux.
