How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe building, our room, everything was exceptional. The decoration of our superb room was better than we have ever experienced. It may seem boring but the wonderful wallpaper was perfect for the room, perfectly hung and the room was beautifully detailed. The bathroom again was perfectly decorated and fitted out from the immaculate tiling to the up to the minute shower and full sized bath. The garden was lovely, the pool likewise although we didn’t use it as the weather was a little chilly. Breakfast was light, almost totally home created and again, perfect. Simply wonderful.
We simply can’t find a single thing that could or should be improved.

Verified reviewThere was no selection of food. You ate what was placed in front of you. No problem for my wife. But being diabetic. The orange juice, the jams, I had to avoid. The hot tub that was advertised at the property was not free. There was a steep price to use it. Didn’t find that out till we checked in. The host was wonderful and charming. The room was comfortable and clean and spacious. If I was to return, knowing what I know now. I would still stay there
Choice of breakfast foods
We have taken note of your comment with the greatest attention. We are sorry to learn that our breakfast acclaimed by our guests did not meet your expectations. It only provides you with homemade products excluding bread and pastries. On the other hand, it is a shame that you did not ask us, we would have offered you savory food. The size of our establishment does not allow us to offer you a buffet that would generate a lot of losses. If you visit our website, you can find out about the various services offered, including our wellness area. Which goes far beyond a simple jacuzzi. We provide you with private access to a space where you have a sauna, hammam, shower and a very large jacuzzi. We believe that the price of 50€ for privatized access to this equipment is necessary to cover the charges. We hope to welcome you on your next trip to the Montagne Noire. Take care of yourself. Verified reviewThe hotel looks traditional from the outside and even the hallway. So it was delight to get into the bedroom to find that it and the en-suite are totally modernised. Large comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Nespresso coffee machine. The host pointed us to the lift so we didn't even need to climb the stairs. If we pass this way again, it would be the place we would choose.
Not happy with the cats in the breakfast room, especially jumping onto the empty chairs and even more so that one of us has an allergy to cats causing asthma. Disappointed that there was no protein at breakfast. Not even local cheese.

Verified reviewWe had a lovely relaxing stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is small and very small personable. They make their own jam, juice, and yoghurt for breakfast. On one evening we were very happy outside by the pool and they bought us fresh fruit, cheese and charcuterie. It was a lovely place to stay and just what we needed.

They let us check in at 4 pm - it’s usually 5 pm — which was nice — but 4 pm is still pretty late. Would prefer an earlier check in.
