Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe hotel was lovely, super clean, and very well located in a beautiful neighborhood — which was super important to us, since in Paris some areas can feel aesthetic while others can be a bit sketchy. The indoor pool was also a great plus to relax after a long day of walking around the city.

United KingdomA staff member walked into our room without knocking (I think to try and sort out a problem, but she then left quickly and we didnt hear anything else from anyone)
Breakfast was nice, although the hot food wasn't very hot, but the quality was great and loads on offer. Good location, lots of lovely cafes nearby and close to local metro stations. Nice pool and relaxed vibe. Hotel gave us some recommendations of restaurants and directions from Gare du Nord which was really welcomed. Really comfy bed and pillows (so much so we wanted to ask if we could buy some pillows off them but we didn't lol). Great roof terrace, best room with a view of the Eifell Tower.

CanadaA real gem, very lucky the roof-top room was available, it’s an amazing nest on the city rooftops with views of the Eiffel Tower. The staff is really friendly and the food is delicious from breakfast to evening cocktails and shared food platter on the terrasse. You don’t want to leave! The area is also lovely with parks and rue du commerce just behind. Best in Paris!

United KingdomAs British people, we love drinking tea. A few more tea bags in the room and some more milk would have been perfect!
Great location, close enough to walk to the Eiffel Tower and other must-see attractions. Close to Commerce Metro station. Lovely swimming pool. Room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Really nice bars and restaurants nearby. This is a lovely, quiet and safe district of Paris, even at the height of summer. We also really enjoyed the breakfasts.

United KingdomThe room was small with limited storage space - we were in Paris for 5 nights and so lived out of our suitcases rather than decant into the small wardrobe. As mentioned in other reviews for some reason the street noise can be loud - it is not a busy street at all, but the acoustics of the road must amplify motor noise somehow when they pass through. 20 euros for breakfast is a lot.. there are loads of easy options outside. 18 euros for a bottle of water in the room - there's a supermarket next door so just grab one from there for 1-2 euros. There are limited English speaking channels on the TV - basically just international news channels.
The hotel was in a quieter part of Paris, but had a nice selection of enough restaurants and small express grocery shops nearby. We particularly enjoyed the local crepe place for a simple authentic supper - the owners there we found to be really friendly and after a long & late travel provided us with wine and food. At the hotel we really enjoyed the pool, spa and comfy robes and slippers. We had the spa and pool to ourselves each time we used it. It was very clean and well kept with additional towels and wash products available. We had a brief relaxation on the outside terrace which was nice with comfy loungers and a swing chair. Its small but clean and peaceful. We liked being able to see the top of the Eiffel tower from the communal area by the lifts. There is a pretty church at the end of the road and during the day the bells chimed which was really quite charming. We didnt eat or drink at the hotel. We grabbed croissants for breakfast at the boulangerie at end of the road and fresh juice from the supermarket next door. We also ate 1 day at Good News cafe which is on the same street - does great coffee, sadly no croissants but huge eggs/toast type offering and museli. The bathroom and bedroom were cleaned every day. We had everything we needed in the room. The room had a view of the street and was lovely to have a little balcony to peer over and look at the architecture and neighbourhood below. The proximity to the metro was 2-3 mins walk which was then easy to link to the centre and main attractions, and we also loved the e-bikes which are located within 2 mins - and we thought was a great way to travel round Paris. It takes about 20-25 mins cycling to get to the centre tourist sites like Champs Elysée. The neighbourhood was comparatively quiet compared to the main tourist throng of central areas and we felt very safe when we were there. The hotel was really quiet and we enjoyed it as a safe and peaceful base for our trip.

FinlandThere was a wine bottle in the minibar but no wine glasses or a bottle opener. We had to go and ask them. They didn't refill the minibar either. But these were really small things, in general everything was great.
Great location, many restaurants and shops nearby, a short walk to the nearest metro station. Connecting rooms were perfect for our family. Our kid loved the pool. Breakfast was very good.

We arrived early in the morning, having had a very early flight to Paris. As it was hot, we could sit in the garden with a coffee and cold water served to us and use the spa to freshen up before we got the room. We went to the beautiful roof top terrace to wait while our rooms were being prepared. While waiting we had the most amazing chacuterie plate with several cured ham, salami, different cheeses, fantastic bread, different spreads and a tomato mozzarella salad with cold drinks. We got notified about the rooms being ready and our luggage had been already brought up into the room. The room I had was into inner courtyard, comfortable bed, coffee maker and complimentary water. The bath room was very clean with rain shower, bathrobes and slippers. The room was cleaned well every day. We had a wonderful stay, the staff was amazing and very friendly. The location is 30 mins on foot from Eiffel tower, very convenient to go anywhere. Forget the big chainhotels, this hotel is a real hidden gem in Paris and would definitely book again when next time in Paris! A bientot!

United KingdomI think there was an issue with the toilet as it smelled bad after we would return to our room. Also for the price of the 4 night stay, the room was smaller than expected.

LatviaBreakfast is normal, without exaggeration. Everyone can find something for themselves. Everything is fresh, clean, unobtrusive. There is not much space, but enough. If the weather permits, then ask to have breakfast served on the terrace. Exotic trees, bushes, flowers and the atmosphere whet your appetite and prepare you for a full day. At least it does for me. The pool was great. It was just what I needed after a hard day.

United KingdomJust a preference we liked to eat a light breakfast out, after the first morning. Nice cafes within 1-2 minutes away.
couldn't recommend more. Brilliant location, near shops, cafes, restaurants and metro station. About 30 minutes leisurely walk to the Eiffel Tower. Reception staff were particularly helpful. We used the leisure facilities and terrace very day, lovely pool. Room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely 30th wedding anniversary, with a complimentary bottle of wine and lovely note. Tended to eat a light breakfast out at nearby cafes.
