How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I have no idea what to write here... I have no idea why I have to write 3 sentences to say I have no idea... I don't like this part of the review and don't know if I'll do again a review
the breakfast was fantastic - mostly local products. Animals were not allowed in the restaurant - for me very positive. the room is big enough, enough possibilities to hang or stow stuff. The location is very close to everything you need. The staff is the greatest plus for this hotel

Reception wasn’t always staffed, receptionist had to serve at the bar as well. No Restaurant, but several good restaurants within walking distance.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Excellent walk in Shower. Breakfast was good, with some hot food as well as continental breakfast.

The hair dryer was rubbish!
It was great. Such good value for money. We used it as a stop gap before travelling home from our holiday in Vendée. It was the perfect location for a one night stay.

Hotel not dog friendly for food, so no breakfast as they are not allowed in the restaurant with you.
Location, stayed many times, great stop off before the Eurotunnel, love the small town although restaurants were not so good this year.There is a great patisserie not too far and a mini supermarket next door which is helpful.

The breakfast was minimal. I have never met such a limited choice of breakfast in this price class (and even in much cheaper hotels). No vegetables, only one kind of ham, one kind of salami. No Gouda or Eidam style cheese. Nevertheless, the hotel charges quite a high price for the breakfast.
The room was spacious and nice, well-equipped and with comfy beds. The hotel is close to the beach and the centre of the (tiny) city.

Rather expensive. Would have expected glasses in the room instead of paper cups. A kettle would be appreciated .

It wasn’t really a problem to us although it could be to others - Unless we misinterpreted the sign up by the toilet - there were instructions to guests to not flush even biodegradable things down the toilet and to use the bin provided in the bathroom - presumably to put toilet paper in - assumed they had similar problems to a lot of Greek hotels with plumbing issues.
Very comfy bed. Location in town close to everything - bars restaurants, seafront. Car park (although we were able to park for free in front of the hotel.) Beautifully furnished room with balcony overlooking pleasant garden. Stylish, elegant, style of hotel. Pleasant staff. Fridge in room (no tea/coffee making facilities but not a problem as we took our own after reading reviews)

Dog charge comparatively expensive
Second time we’ve stayed as it is a great location for a stay going to or coming from the tunnel. Easy parking, dog friendly and close to the beach.

Our room was over the rear entrance and smoking area and we did not like the smoking fumes coming into the room

Room was very cold (2 portable heaters were in the room - but the room had not been warmed prior to our occupation. Took hours to warm up. The young lady on reception barely registered our presence when we checked out, lacking warmth and engagement. This was exactly the opposite of the excellent attitude of her colleague the previous day.

Rooms at front can be a bit noisy with the window open. But it's fine with the window shut. No restaurant, but there are so many nearby it doesn't really matter. (I can recommend la Terrasse less than a minute's walk away.)
Continental breakfasts are all bread cerials and pastries. So as a coeliac sufferer I was pleased to find bacon and scrambled eggs available. You could also boil yourself an egg. Room was very clean and comfortable. Good on site parking. Although A 9 euro charge for this.
