Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe doors between the bedroom and toilet were very squeaky so it woke us up when someone went to the toilet. I forgot to mention to reception.
Fantastic location only a few minutes walk into Aix old town. There is a Spar shop at the end of the road to get essentials from. It’s in a quiet area so we slept well. The studio apartment is a good size and had everything we needed. There was a lot of storage and hanging space. It was true to the pictures. Parking was underneath the hotel and cost €12 per night. We were able to leave the car in the car park after checkout until we were ready to leave Aix. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like . If I’m being picky, it takes at least 10 minutes to get anywhere on foot, something to bear in mind if travelling with children but a fair payoff for the facilities available and being in a quiet area. The home cooking facilities would not be ideal for cooking a full meal as there is no oven just a hob and microwave - not something we wanted to do anyway but again, just to bear in mind if that is something you’re looking for.
This place was perfect for me and my daughter, who were looking for somewhere chilled and well-equipped as a base to explore Aix. Highly recommend ! We loved the fact it was an apart’hotel, so we had facilities to eat at home if we wanted to, which included a washing-up and cleaning kit. Despite this, there is food available from the reception all day, both full meals and reasonably priced vending machines, so all bases are covered. Pool was great, nice lounge area and not too busy, we could always find a lounger. The pool itself catches some shade in the afternoon, which made it more relaxed for us as we could avoid constant sun cream. The room was really clean, the bed was really comfortable and we even had a bath in our room which is unusual in France and my daughter enjoyed . The technology was also up to date, which sounds basic but having stayed in a few places this summer cannot be taken for granted. It made a huge different to be able to plug in all our devices at once, straight into the wall, and access Netflix and YouTube one the smart tv. Also decent WiFi. Staff were friendly and helpful. Private parking was easy and safe.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anywhere to get drinks, which would have been nice for when at the pool. At times, when the air con wasn’t on, there was a bit of a smell of drains.
The room was very spacious and had all the basics in the kitchenette. It was really nice to have a sofa area as well as the small dining table. The pool garden was lovely for an afternoon. It was fairly quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomPool area needs tidying up. General unkempt appearance! Similarly room terrace was pretty scruffy. Broken glass under table and plastic surrounding barrier very stained/worn. Same towels for 4 days not acceptable - why should we pay for a change when price already quite high. No cleaning materials provided. How do we wash/ dry dishes when no washing up liquid or dish towels provided. Do we dry them with 4 day old towels on leaving??!
Good location. Good size room.

IrelandBreakfast was priced at 18euro for what looked like a few mingy croissants and machine coffee. total rip off and we didn't bother. didn't look like many others did either. the hotel should charge a reasonable 10 euro or significantly improve their offering. while we knew we were getting an apart/hotel, a few changes of towels would have been nice. also, they say if you don't clean your cups, plates , cutlery before check out you will be fined 30 euro, but the hotel does not leave any dish cloth, washing up liquid or tea towel for this process!!
Convenient, quiet location just a few minutes away from main thoroughfare. Friendly staff. nice reception area. room was large and relatively clean, big balcony. comfy bed. good swimming pool with beds and umbrellas.

AustraliaSmall lounge and location of TV meant furniture movement was required. Kitchen utensils were limited. Facilities like water cooler would be beneficial. Pool towels were extra charge.
It's location was a lot better than we thought , in a quiet neighbourhood street and only a short walk to the centre of town. The pool was good and parking secure. Room size was better than most and bathroom large. Comfortable beds.
