Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe decent-sized hotel car park had a sandy / earthy surface. Rainfall & a breeze left my car seriously covered in a brown dust. So a car wash charge effectively increased the cost of staying. Breakfast was good but expensive.
Clean, updated, well maintained hotel set in pleasant gardens.

United KingdomWe arrived early and couldn’t get in to the hotel a my fault for not remembering to check but it is closed at lunchtimes so do double check!
Lovely hotel; incredibly dog friendly (my dog was allowed everywhere, even in the bar for dinner). Lovely selection of mocktails for non drinkers. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast overlooking the coastline is a must! Eco touches in the bathroom were lovely as well.

CanadaWe were there on a Sunday evening and could only find one restaurant open in town, not the fault of the hotel. We also had difficulty connecting to the hotel's wifi.
This was a very quiet and recently renovated hotel. It has a lovely view of the ocean from the lounge and dining area. The staff were great and we had an early check-in on a very rainy day. The room was comfortable and clean however it was a little on the small size. The buffet breakfast had lots of choice and was beautifully presented..

United KingdomBedside storage was inadequate in that we ended up knocking things off the wooden toadstool and so put all our things on the floor. Switching the alarm wasn't easy. Attempts to connect to WIFI were a failure, repeatedly getting an insecure site signal. This necessitated visiting a nearby large hotel to get a connection.
The room was very light, spacious, well furnished and had a decent view. The staff were extremely helpful and very courteous with us. Breakfast was very well done with plenty of variety and quantity, in lovely surroundings. It was convenient for Trestraou beach and restaurants and acting as a base for visiting Brittany.

BelgiumThe view was really nice as the the flowery garden, the decoration of the hotel as well, the size of the room was just fine, we couldn't try the tapas bar since it was a little late in the season. A nice hotel indeed.

United StatesA better option for coffee in the room. The Nescafe style is ok, but never enough. If you didn't opt for breakfast, I don't believe you could order coffee on its own. This is not a complaint, we were so happy with this find that I'd love to keep it a secret!
What a nice surprise!! We had never visited this part of France and selected this hotel based on the reviews. The rooms look quite small on the website so I was a bit concerned. We stayed in the family room with a sea view (the view is not pictured on the website as far as I can tell). The view was AWESOME. The lobby, restaurant, and congregating areas were spotless and the views were amazing. There were games to play with and a light, airy vibe. One night we played Scrabble and just enjoyed the view and never felt pressured to order from the restaurant or bar (we did anyway!). The hotel is a short walk down to the beach/town strip and a downtown area for shopping. The Tapas menu was also very plentiful and very good.

Hungary- After parking at 13:00 before the check in we were refused even basic access to the restroom after a long drive; - At check-in, staff wrote down my full credit card details by hand “for damages,” despite the room being prepaid via Booking — an unprofessional and potentially insecure practice; - The so-called "superior" triple room was cramped, with the third bed being nothing more than a small fold-out sofa; - Only two bathrobes were provided for three guests, and staff claimed even a four-person suite only comes with two, also no slippers were offered; - The shower had no door at all at the superior room; - At 9:30 in the morning loud vacuuming cleaning had started; - The hotel grounds are minimal and only accessible if dining in their restaurant, which serves nothing but tapas; - Staff attitude was unacceptable: while one receptionist was polite, others were rude and dismissive — especially a staff member who refused restroom access on arrival. Worse, when we spoke English, some staff made disrespectful remarks in French, which members of our group understood. Overall, this hotel combines high prices with poor service, uncomfortable rooms, and openly disrespectful staff. Easily the worst experience of our Bretagne trip — absolutely not recommended.

United KingdomSTAFF ATTITUDE. POOR SERVICE & FACILITIES. DOORS CLOSED AT 9pm. LIGHTS OFF & STAFF, Mainly the Family who live there, unavailable. FELT as if intruding into a Family Home , supposedly a Hotel, more a Chambre D’Hote ! Met a German Couple staying at Hotel, also in Town Restaurant as Lady Owner said NO RESTAURANT FACILITY due to unavailability of Staff. Typical Small French Town restaurant closed at 9pm , so returned to Hotel for a Drink to find ALL in Darkness, so switched on lights in Small lounge to have a Drink with new friends!.....Only to be reprimanded by daughter for our actions. NOT A HOTEL FOR SOCIABLE PEOPLE WHO MAY WISH TO EAT AND DRINK. A Poor example of French Hospitality, no wonder not on Brittany Ferries Itinerary
COMFORTABLE DE-LUXE ROOM.
